A little bit of a drive from Glenwood Springs. If you’re in the area worth staying for the price compared to what’s offered down the road. Ample parking, hot breakfast and attentive staff. The room was nothing special. Recent from the look. Hair dryer was not working. Light was out in the bathroom. But at 10:30pm at night they had someone come from maintenance and replace. Appreciate that type of service. Did not try any of the facilities.
My wife booked this as a surprise, and she wanted something close to Iron Mountain Hot Springs. This location is a little outside of Glenwood but close enough to everything without paying the premium for being in Glenwood. The reservation had been booked in advance, yet they said they didn't have a room ???? ????- but miraculously, they found one for us at a higher price ????♂️!?!?
Rooms are dated and in need of conveniences you would expect, TV and cable didn't work, so Ash (night clerk) came to our room to fix, he is very helpful and accommodating for extra towels and pillows. Breakfast was not good, pool & hot tub areas are very dated and kinda dirty....
I would pay a little more and stay elsewhere next time. 2 out of 5 stars
Hotel was good they are happy to help. Breakfast was tasty. The only thing is check out was not till 11 am but one of the maids saw my friend go out to put her stuff outside and tried to come in our room but I was still in there. So that was a little weird to me.
Run of the mill budget hotel conveniently located right off of I-70. It loses points because the whole hotel reeked of weed, the rooms didn't have coffee which was odd, and they were an hour late serving breakfast on a Sunday. I give it props for the price, the rooms were slightly better than I was expecting for this kind of hotel, and the gentleman who checked my wife and I in and 8pm on Friday 9/27/2024 was extremely friendly and even upgraded our room. Wish I got his name but kudos to him! All in all if you go in expecting a Ritz Carlton you'll be disappointed but if you go in expecting a Wingate by Wyndham in rural Colorado you'll be pretty satisfied. Overall I'd recommend this place.
Honestly, it's almost funny how bad this place was. Stopped here on a long drive with kids. The dude at the counter said that they not only don't have a crib or pack and play, he said he'd never heard of one.
The room was visibly dirty. The hot and cold were switched on the tap. The TV remote didn't work. The room smelled bad. BUT the kicker for me was that they'd straight up propped the pool door open, which we found out when our toddler started trying to walk into it during breakfast. Which reminds me, the less said about the appearance of that sausage, the better.
I included a picture of the alarm clock, because it was the only thing that worked, waking up up at exactly 1P:G8.
First, answer the phone. They never answer the phone.
The hotel is easy to find just off of I 70. The grounds look great. The lobby is nice. The desk guy was efficient but not personable.
The room greatly exceeded my expectations. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was good. The AC worked great. The room fridge had a freezer compartment. The bath was nice and the towels great. There was a big flat screen and a microwave.
My room was across from the laundry. The housekeepers were in there early Sunday morning running the equipment and talking loudly with the door open.
I did chat with the desk. The next morning no repeat disturbance.
The breakfast was typical hotel menu. The problem was the eggs and sausage. The eggs were the boiling bag type. They had a bad taste. I'm not sure what the sausage was. Its DNA is suspect. Possibly chicken. It tasted bad too. Good news, there is a McDonald's across the street.
I can recommend staying here. It's not perfect but I would stay here again.
We were visiting from Denver for a birthday trip and did not want to spend too much money, so staying in Glenwood was out of the question. We found this cute lil place online when searching for nearing towns. They're right off the freeway and only 10-15 minutes from Glenwood Springs. Affordable and nice staff. Indoor pool was clean and nice to soak in during the day when everyone was out adventuring.
ALSO we happened to leave a bag of "personal items" aka adult toys in the bedside table and totally spaced that they were there. We didn't realize til we were almost home so we called them right away and the staff was SUPER nice and accommodating. Didn't make us feel weird or shameful. Just simply said sure, send us a shipping label and we will make sure you get your items back. Great customer service and kind people that work there.
Oh and the coffee place that's next to the market on the adjacent corner was SUPER good. best latte I had the whole weekend.
A lot sketchier of a place than I thought it would be.
It's not unsafe feeling, but for the price, it was so much crummier than I expected. For the first time in my life, I had to ask for a new room after checking in, because there were giant holes in the walls; scuffs/marks everywhere; the microwave, fridge, AND AC were broken; and there were beetles everywhere. I never even send things back at restaurants so it was a big deal for me to ask for that ???? They gave me a new room no problem, which still had minor issues, but felt like a budget hotel room rather than a disaster. I did take pics which I can add in later. It was weird that their rooms could vary so much in quality. In the new room, the comforter was also stained with some red/pink something, it looked like popsicle or melted candy stuff. So nothing like disgusting, but still not great.
The man who was working when I checked in was very kind and helpful. But there was a different worker in the morning who the maid actually needed to go find somewhere outside when people were waiting at the desk, and then he was angry that he needed to help us. A few of us discussed how much sketchier it was than we expected for the price while we waited, so at least I wasn't alone in my feelings!
