At first glance, it’s in an odd location. But the experience was great! We stayed for 2 days for a scheduled event in downtown Louisville. It was easily accessible to everything. Upon entering the location, the staff were so helpful and kind. One of the concierge gentlemen was so respectful and friendly. The actual facility is very clean, comfortable, and updated. The room was tidy and had everything we needed. For a short stay and the price, it was a great experience!
This hotel was awesome from the moment we checked in. There were two guys and a girl working the desk. All three of them were beyond friendly! They were super helpful in finding good locations and things we were looking for. It was two adults, two kiddos, and two dogs. We got a double queen bed room. It was comfy and clean. Would absolutely stay here again! They do offer feee breakfast but we left a bit before! Thank you all for being so friendly!
Great spot. I travel North America so my review comes with some serious Hotel experience.
Room was perfect and clean. I had a King Bed Room. A/C was so good I had to turn it down which never happens. Shower was great including all Dove products.
Staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was standard including eggs and sausage.
Highly recommend, especially for the price!
BTW, Any review that says it isn't a safe place is totally wrong. The property is completely fenced in and has cameras throughout the parking lot. I was outside a lot and the night was peaceful. Also great smoking areas too.
We can’t say enough good things about this hotel, its management and staff. Very friendly, exceptionally clean, great breakfast - an excellent place to stay. Gen Mgr Roxana Aguilar was extremely helpful and accommodating during our 5-night stay as part of the St James Court Art Festival in Louisville. She and her staff do a great job!
My family and I traveled to Louisville for a weekend of relaxation and fun. We decided to stay at this hotel. It was clean, the service was exceptional, the staff were excellent and very professional as well. They greeted us with a smile each time we left and came back. I was skeptical because of recent reviews. However, this hotel turned out to be suitable for our weekend stay. It is in an excluded area.
This hotel also has Dove products which I was excited to see. Below are pictures, our beds were made up nicely, prior to taking the picture.
If you want an inviting, comfortable, well-decorated, SPOTLESS hotel, pick Wingate! This might be the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed in. It’s nestled amongst college apartments and right on the highway. Ask for a non-highway room if you’re a light sleeper. This hotel is a fantastic value! It has a beautiful interior, and did I mention that it’s clean!
One of the best hotel breakfast I've ever had! This place deserves to be a 3 star just for the breakfast. The rooms were good. The foyer leading to the rooms might need an upgrade, but other than that this is a great one!
Do NOT stay here. I'm not one to leave one-star reviews, but this stay has been brutal. The hotel is located too close to a major highway and is obnoxiously loud at all hours. If you are staying in a room facing the highway, bring earplugs. Ideally, a bedroom should be no louder than 40db at night. I measured the sound in this room and it was over 85db. WAY too loud for most people.
Next, the queen beds are... unusual. They feel as if they're two smaller beds pushed together with an obvious gap in the middle. Additionally, they feel smaller than a standard queen bed. I haven't measured it (I'm not a psychopath) but it does feel small.
Finally, the AC barely works. Woke up sweating with a migraine at 2AM from the highway sounds and the AC was no relief.
Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.
