Currently still waiting on a reply back from the general manager and it’s been a week. Please book ANYWHERE but this hotel. They don’t tell you on the website but they charge you an extra $100 security deposit which left me with no money at all, then say it will be back at check out, but if it’s on a weekend it won’t go back until the middle of the week.
Overall the experience was rough. Room was okay, until you turn on the heat, all you smell is dead burning bugs because they haven’t cleaned and maintained it properly. When going to the bathroom, the water was orange for a bit but cleared up (gross) and when I was moving the towels to get the bottom towel since the other two were stained and discolored, a shell of a bug flew out from it????the water is also very drying as you can see from the photo, so bring lotion so you don’t feel like sandpaper. Oh, almost forgot to mention, bring your own shower liner! Their rods are bent out away from the bath and all of the water will go on the floor so make sure to bring that, so you don’t slip like I did! Water pressure is horrible, feels like a little kid sprinkler on my back. I brought a flat sheet and pillowcases to put over the bed and my own throw blanket for the risk there might be bugs (as far as I know there wasn’t thank god), but even when you try to sleep, you’ll have the fire alarm go off at 4:45 in the morning! Took an hour for the alarms to be reset and for us to be able to go back in. Apparently someone pulled it…. And again at 8:20 because someone burned something in the very old microwaves they have (the ones with the dial that go up to almost 20 min).
Overall I was there for one night, hated majority of it. They have good wifi but you can’t connect any gaming consoles to the wifi they prevent it so you’re stuck with what you got. Mattress is pretty okay, the room itself besides the bathroom and heater was fine, the blinds don’t overlap so you’re stuck with a sliver of brightness in the morning.
If you aren’t worried about great comfort and cleanliness, this is a ehh okay hotel. Would not go back at all, and I am currently trying to get a refund for a sleepless night with no response at all.
With the exterior of the building and the lobby looking so clean and high-tech yet the rooms being like that it’s very deceiving and disappointing.
This hotel was disgusting. They will not refund us. Nasty water. Tv does not work. Phone did not work. I am auto compromised and the water from every faucets was dark brown. There was only one other family there the night we stayed in the entire parking lot. My husband and I stayed at the hotel trying to rectify the room situation for 40 minutes before we called another hotel and left to go check in somewhere else.
Better business bureau has been contacted. We were there for one hour and they refuse to give us a refund. Over $300 for this nasty filth. We will not stop till everyone knows how nasty they are
Hotel rooms on main level don't have good shades for blocking out light from parking lot at night.
Rooms were not straightened up for over a two night stay.
Included breakfast and coffee is terrible.
A good bare bones hotel if you don't care about dated rooms and are seeking a good price as the priority.
I was surprised to see all the negative reviews on this page, though the local media has reported that this property used to be awful and has greatly improved in recent times. My stay was favorable. It was clean, well-kept and modern, though nothing fancy. There was a pool and a basketball court. There was a camp of teenagers staying as well as a ton of utility workers from a recent storm and my room was dead quiet. There were two people manning the breakfast station, which few hotels do but was welcome given how busy it was. I probably won't stay here again myself because I'm local (I lost power at my place) but I'd certainly recommend it to others. Good hotel for the price, especially in a tourist place like Lake George.
Terrible experience. There was no phone network in the room. The lady at the reception was unhelpful when I requested to change the room to 2FL as I was staying for 3 nights and had to receive some important calls. The lady said that all the rooms were fully booked and cannot help, which was clearly not true as their website shows rooms being available. Safe was not functioning. Pillows were dirty and full of stains, and bedsheets didn’t seem to be cleaned as it has hair left by previous guest. ||Breakfast has limited option with all carbs and no protein. I wouldn’t stay in this hotel next time and wouldn’t recommend to anyone either.
Simple hotel, bathrooms are small and not updated, the rooms are ok, we were 3 in a room, room is not updated. Location is good. I do not think I will book it again unless the price makes sense, I needed 2 nights in between hotels...
I booked based on the Wyndham name that I trust, as I was doing further research and saw some awful reviews, I sent an email and just advised that since I am coming with kids, I wanted to double check A. they indeed had an in and outdoor pool and that breakfast was actual food, not an apple and bagel in a brown bag as I had read. The email response was that I was providing inaccurate statements and hadn't even been there therefor they were cancelling my reservation, yup, less than a week to my vacation, they canceled it! Called corporate who said it is individually owned but they can share feedback. DONE!
I really enjoyed this hotel! Our room was clean, and the service was great! I asked for towels an they came right away with fresh towels. They also have a pool and breakfast which is extremely convenient.
