The hotel was relatively easy to find off I-85. Once you get past the turn lane for another hotel property, it was easy to access the Wingate. Parking spaces in the lot did not have easy to see lines, but as long as you park close to another vehicle you should be fine. Overall the hotel was in good condition. I stayed there for a late overnight stay so I did not access many of the amenities. However, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the stay was re-energizing. The smell of the breakfast bar was less than appealing, however the coffee hit the spot and there are fast food choices close by.
I spent 3 nights in this hotel. When I checked out, Monday, December 9th I had breakfast - the sausage and eggs - before I went to the airport. I did not eat very much because it tasted awful! It's a good thing I didn't. I made it one exit on the interstate when I had to pull off and into a gas station. In the driveway I began to throw up. I barely made it to the parking area and got my rental car door open in time to vomit out the car door. I called the location and was told she would tell the manager and return my phone call. There was no response until I contacted corporate - "We'll make sure the sausage is ok in the future." Except for the stained carpet, cigarette smell, no maid service on Sunday night, and food poisoning, my stay was fine. Needless to say, the next time I'm in LaGrange to visit my family I'll choose another hotel. ZERO STARS!!
Very nice place. The sundry had wonderful options for snacks, hygiene products , and otc cold and pain relievers. The only downside was the ac/heater was slow to come on and was loud. We ended up not using it at all. The room was spacious and clean. I would recommend.
We needed a room and every hotel we called was sold out. Julie greeted us immediately when we entered and was very helpful. The rooms are a little dated and could use a little cosmetic touch- a dent here and there but the solid surface flooring is perfect ! Everything was clean and no smell at all. Non smoking facility— A++ it’s a little out of the way from town but definitely worth a few minutes drive. Breakfast was typical and the pool was clean.
This is the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I don’t recommend staying here. We had to change rooms because the carpet was heavily stained. The elevator and rooms were very smelly. The walls were stained and wallpaper torn in many places. I got up early to get a coffee and it was cold. I went to the lady at the front desk to let her know. Her response was “we just put it out this morning.” I thought maybe she didn’t understand me, so I repeated myself. She repeated herself. They advertise that they have a buffet breakfast but… we went to Chic-fil-a down the street. We only stayed one night but we’re never staying at a Wingate again. Our first and last time.
The room was clean and spacious and had just what I needed. The bed was nice soft and comfortable. The service was wonderful. I would recommend going once again. Breakfast muffins were delicious.
The hotel was very nice. The rooms were nicely decorated and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was not a great selection for breakfast but the hotel is very conveniently located with lots of restaurants nearby.
Hello, my fellow followers this is the worst hotel to go to. I was gonna wait until I leave, but the situations are getting worse. I am only here due to my job paying for the hotel and there’s no other hotels available at the moment from the start. The carpets was very moldy smelling then when we addressed it, they moved us to another room with hardwood floors so they knew the carpet was bad now today’s topic. my blood is boiling because I was in the elevator and it was urine in there so I come down to the staff and the video below, and I told her this is her face, but I told her that it was pee in the elevator, she said oh I know I think a dog peed in there, but I didn’t get the chance to get around it fast-forward. I am sitting outside and she comes and has a cigarette break now I go in and check the elevate why she’s out here smoking, and the piss is on the floor in evidence below the camera and she’s sitting here smoking, but you can smoke and not clean up the pee time out there was nobody available to cover the desk then I asked about the pool it’s 85° and she says I think that it’s closed for the season she’s given very lazy very unorganized and very unprofessional behaviors. I could go on, but I think that is enough. If I could get this hotel, a zero I would oh not to mention the washing machines you have to pour water in the machine to get it to work. I don’t recommend this hotel for anyone I get as cheap. I gets its cheap but your staff can be better. They were not one friendly staff here and we’ve been here for three weeks by force not by choice.(work trip) and back outside again before I even go in smh
