Very nice girl at the reception, very attentive. The hotel is clean. I liked it. A fireplace in the room is a great idea. But a window in the bathroom is for connoisseurs.
Really a two star experience. Run down basic rooms. Our pillows were tiny and uncomfortable and the next day we asked for better. They explained that the pillows were folded half inside the pillowcase! Who does that? We went our entire 3 day stay without clean towels or made up bed despite several/requests/complaints. The hallway smells like farts. The “gym” was a joke and the pool a large bathtub. They are just ticking boxes for online searches here. Decent location to HPU. That’s it. Not worth $20/night difference over other nearby hotels.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean but tired. We got an accessible room. Regular, narrow tub with grab bars and a wand with a single spray type doesn't really cut it as accessible in my book. No seat provided in bathroom-not that one would fit in the tiny tub anyway, the shower curtain stuck to body every time I moved since it was not a curved rod. The electrical appliances have not been updated to include outlets on the bedside lamps and there were zero usb plug ins anywhere so make sure you bring your own multiplugs, etc.. The breakfast downstairs was sufficient. We didn't try out the pool. The daytime lady (manager?) at the desk was super friendly. We had brought pillows (thank goodness, they have the throw pillow sized bed pillows) and left them behind. We called and she was on it, went and got them and held at the desk so we could pick up.
We had to cancel our stay because of weather and bad driving conditions during hurricane Helene and they would not accept the phone cancellation and charged our credit card. We explained about the weather and the fact the driving was nasty and my husband is 75 years old. The girl on the phone was very rude and said they would be charging. After 2 phone calls for a refund they are refusing to refund us. We will never stay there again and would not recommend it to anyone. They are heartless.
Positive: The employees were nice and the hotel was in a good location and the parking lot and stuff was clean Negative: The sheets on the bed were old and had stains from what look like red mud on them and the floor got soaked from the AC unit it was wet from the AC unit all the way into the middle of the floor and the Ac was on 70 and 69. Also the refrigerator was small.
Positive: "" Negative: The hotel is very dated. There are holes in the carpet, the showers have an odd ?window? feature that opens into the room, and the entire hotel looks/feels old.
I hated everything about this hotel. The complementary breakfast was horrible they only had bread/bagels boiled eggs cereal or fruit as an option. The room itself wasn’t very clean. I had to replace the towels immediately because they were dirty with yellow stains. One other thing if you stay here beware that they charge $10 extra per adult which is ridiculous. I’m not sure if that is their normal or if they did this because they knew a lot of people were in the area for Junior Olympics and they were taking advantage of the small availability of hotels that week. I will never stay at a Wyndham again it was not worth the money and I was highly disappointed.
We were here for 5 days for work. The room they gave us was on the 3rd floor. We were shocked when we walked in. We have not ever had a room with a jacuzzi tub in it! LOL. We used it every night. It was awesome. The jacuzzi tub has a sliding door that opens up to the room. It was interesting to say the least. This room also had a small couch to sit at to watch TV. We enjoyed the stay. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the room was clean and the staff kept us stocked with towels and toiletries'. The only down side is there is no hot breakfast. In fact there wasn't much breakfast finger food to even eat.
