I had 4 criteria for my trip to Denver with my family: less than $100/night, free parking, Continental breakfast, and a pool. At right at 20 minutes out from Denver, this hotel met each of those requirements. The room was dated, but clean. All employees were nice, and my kids loved the treats the set out during the day. Breakfast was tasty. Hottub is out of order, but the pool was perfect for two kids to play in.
Hotel had a clean room, friendly desk staff, carpets were being replaced in hallways of first floor. Pool was great, breakfast with hot foods, terrific!. Hot tubwas not functioning. Price was good for us. Would do it again if in Denver .,.........
We are Wyndham rewards members and usually stay at LaQuinta properties. During a weekend visit in June, we tried this hotel and were truly impressed. This hotel is clean, comfortable, and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and had no issues with our room or reservation. The staff at the desk were always friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing with a great variety every morning of our stay and ample seating in the dining area. The staff in the breakfast area went above and beyond with replenishing items and keeping the coffee area stocked; and they did it all with a smile. We did not use the pool during our stay. The location is close to the I25 for convenience and tucked far enough off the main road that you aren't dealing with traffic. The location is safe, and we felt safe during the entirety of our stay. Since we were traveling with our son, we were also very pleased to not have to smell any 420 odors within the hotel or the general area outside the hotel. This was truly a pleasant stay for our family and the Wingate will now be our go-to hotel when we are in the area.
They were renovating, so it was dirty. There was no ice machine on our floor, just a hole in the ground. The AC only kicked out warm air and had to sleep with the window open. Informed the front desk, and they promised to fix it, but when we got back that evening it 82 degrees in the room. They ended up giving us a different room, but the keys didn't work, and the door was difficult to open. I reached out to management after we checked out but was only able to leave a voice mail, and they never called me back. I later found other reviews of families experiencing the same issues with AC not working and being forced to change rooms.
Positive: Probably one of the best hotel stays I have experienced. The room was clean and quiet. Full breakfast and coffee in the morning was a bonus. The price was really reasonable for a classy hotel Negative: ""
The rooms are clean, spacious, and the furniture is good quality. They had everything you could need. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is one of the best complementary hotel breakfasts I've had -- good quality and a generous selection. In the afternoon, the staff put out popcorn and cookies for guests, which was nice. There's not much to do in the area, but the location suited my purpose.
Had a good 1 night stay here. Left early the next day before the highways were closed. King room was a good size and comfortable bed. Good value for money spent
Cons:
AC was broken in my room, extensive water damage in the bathroom, shower did not drain, rooms are poorly lit, and it smelled awful so you know there's water or mold in the walls ????
Bathroom wallpaper was literally stapled to the wall and still looked like it was melting off. It's the kind of place you feel gross taking your shoes off in.
Pros:
The common areas look really nice. Staff were friendly, breakfast was ok, location is convenient to entertainment and shopping, but I would not stay here again or recommend others to.
