Let's start with the rooms, first they were newly updated and very clean! The towels were always fresh and bright white! Kudos to the Housekeeping staff! Breakfast was nice with plenty of options in the hot breakfast buffet. The front desk staff were amazing and always had good energy. Management is doing a great job at this location, compared to recent hotels I've stayed at in Greensboro, this one is significantly better and more welcoming. I will be back next month and can't wait to stay here again! I highly encourage others to pick this hotel if you are visiting Greensboro!
I enjoyed my stay, the room was clean, breakfast was really good with nice options. The front desk staff was wonderful and I felt welcomed each time I walked in the door. The new renovations definitely make this hotel stand out and most importantly make it look clean! I would highly recommend this hotel to any travelers.
Good value. But, the heating unit did not keep the room warm enough inside (night temp fell to 28 outside). Bathroom door was damaged and needs to be replaced. OJ dispenser busted but no warning notice. Breakfast room attendee focused more on her phone than her duties.
It's a clean hotel that I've stayed in many times for work. The only warning I would give is that the area is infested with shady people walking around at all hours and I have seen cars get broken into. So be sure to lock your vehicle and bring in any valuables. That's not really a knock on the hotel as much as it is the area. There are also of plenty of food choices within walking distance of the hotel.
I liked service rendered very nice polite. attendants and housekeepers where all friendly and accommodating. would definitely stay again. Now the breakfast wasnt a 4 star restaurant but it got the job done.
The room was very spacious and clean. Can use some upgrades, but other than that everything was fine. The hotel is under renovation, but it did not interfere with our stay. The front desk ladies were very helpful and nice. The hotel was less than 10 minutes away from where we needed to be. Will stay again.
I was in Greensboro for the night for a medical appointment. I’ve never stayed at this hotel before. I was able to check in online which made it easier for me and the front desk clerk. The front desk clerk was very sweet, very efficient, got me checked in quickly. She understood I was traveling with my service dog Ranger and didn’t even talk about a pet fee (believe me, I’ve run into that more than I should).
The room was clean, updated and spacious. The bathroom was updated and clean as well. I did find a hair when I got in bed, but the things happen. I’m not going to get bent out of shape about it. No big deal.
One little “amenity” I loved was the water fountain in the lobby with the bottle fill station. I haven’t seen that in any other hotels. Usually the hotel tries to sell you a bottle of water for $5. It’s just a little touch that made a big difference for me. I will definitely be staying here every time I come to Greensboro. Thank you!
Room could have been cleaner. But overall no other complaints! We will definitely continue to stay at Wingate hotels.
