This place is located in a very nice area. Upon check-in the young lady was very polite and provided a very smooth easy transaction experience. The pricing was very reasonable. My room was nice, comfortable, and clean overall. There was some cleaning product residue left on some of the furniture, but nothing major. It was very comfortable and quiet. The bed was very clean and comfortable. I wish it came with an actual comforter, instead of three sheets neatly placed together to make a cover. It was manageable though. The pool was clean and warm. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. It was just plain scrambled eggs and bacon with a choice of a cold muffin of some sort everyday. Better than just cereal and milk. The hotel was very nice and peaceful inside and outside. Check out was easy breezy. All of the staff members were very nice. Overall, I would visit this hotel again and recommend it to others.
Dreadful experience. The hotel was hardly staffed. My room had no hot water. Absolutely none. It wasn’t even tepid. It was cold. I called the front desk to inquire about the issue was told to let it run for ten minutes. This is unacceptable for the price I paid for this room. I called again and was placed on hold for nearly 10 minutes and was then hung up on. I left before midnight and will never return.
My husband and I were quite impressed with the cleanliness of our room. The location was perfect for our travel and tourist plans.
The highlight of our stay at this hotel was meeting the breakfast server, Brenda. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything that we needed, even going so far as to bring things to our table. She worked hard to make sure the buffet was well stocked. In addition, she was extraordinarily kind, full of energy and upbeat.
My husband and I have traveled internationally and throughout the United States and we can honestly say we’ve never experienced such exceptional customer service at a breakfast buffet at any hotel that we have ever stayed.
Employees of this quality of service are a rare gem.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights, arriving at 2PM to an efficient receptionist who processed my payment while I signed a liability form, then presented the key cards with the wifi. We took one of their 2 elevators up to the 4th floor.|Room #431 was carpeted, clean and spacious with a very comfortable king, desk & chair, easy chair, closet, medium sized refrigerator, micro, coffee maker and medium sized TV with a channel guide(Bloomberg, CNBC, CNN, ESPNs, HBO, HGTV, local networks & 40 channels). A large opening window looked over the parking area to Wright State University. |The nice bathroom had a tub/shower with soaps, grab bar and a working passive fan.|Good secure wifi, ample outlets, good lighting and an under window AC/heat. I swam laps in the 20’ x 40’ indoor pool and used the adjacent 4 station gym.|The 6AM breakfast was good and attended: juices, mandarins, packaged cereals, scrambled eggs, bacon, yogurt, waffle machines, packaged muffins, toast and a NESCAFÉ Ready Brew 100 Commercial Coffee Machine. |Overall, we had a quiet night’s sleep and enjoyed our stay.
We have stayed at this hotel several times since it was built and it always a welcoming, comfortable place. The rooms are clean and lovely, the breakfast very good, and the staff very helpful and friendly. We recently stayed at newer hotel just down the road that is supposed to be a bit more upscale, but the rooms were small, no closets, lacking breakfast options, very noisy and our hallway smelled of weed. We were very happy this last trip to come back to the Wingate while visiting our son at WSU.
Very nice hotel, I would definitely stay here again. I stayed with my Wyndham points, and honestly the hardest part of this whole trip was getting the Wyndham website to work. it didn't, so I had to call for assistance, three times before I finally got someone to help me. I wish I had stayed longer, because they have a fitness room and a swimming pool. Breakfast is the usual. Front desk staff were very nice. and I was very happy to find that they still have the little bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and a real bar of soap. I am no fan at all of those refillable ones. They stick in the shower, especially since I do not like body wash. All around a very nice stay.

The staff and manager were very nice. However, I had a bunch of ants in my room so I requested a new room. The lady at the front desk arranged to get me another room but I decided to buy some ant spray instead since I had already taken the time to clean the room. Plus I didn't want to risk being moved to a room that was even worse. What I didn't know was that my rate had gone up when I requested a room change which was odd because most hotels move you to another room at no extra charge for things like that. Thankfully, the manager Linda, got it squared it away. It shouldn't have been a charge in the first place, though. The hotel itself was nice and great parking. The breakfast was okay; it was what you'd usually expect at hotels with complimentary breakfast.
