Front desk help on Dec 17 24- 8 pm was Great! Very polite and helpful. Our reservation was not showing up. But we got the room we needed. The beds are comfortable. It was quiet . There is a good shop at the front desk. Snacks and drinks available. Good breakfast selection.
Staying for work. Only concern is the bathtubs are SUPER slippery. I think they need to add non-skid tub mats.

I was here with a conference group at the beginning of November. The conference center connected was great. However, we had an instance of an employee walking into a females room unannounced and with no apology or explanation as to why they were in there. The front desk employee didn’t apologize when it was addressed. The door to my room was hard to latch, could easily be pushed open & there was also blood on one of the pillows on the bed. When I told the front desk, the man asked me if I was sure it was blood instead of apologizing - I am in a hospital daily, I know what blood looks like. The hotel needs improvement on guest - staff interactions and taking responsibility when at fault.
Clean rooms, friendly staff. Great location. We can ride the back country roads of WV and still be back to a comfortable space to relax. Within walking distance of restaurants and a convenient store. Great view of the mountains and it's at the end of a road, so it's quiet. Very nice stay.
The staff was lovely, but that's where the niceness ended. The room was in dire need of a deep clean (it was as clean as the staff could get it, it would require carpet shampooing and upholstery cleaning to put a dent in the rest). The bathtub was quite rusty, and all of the lighting was dim. The hotel needs a renovation.
The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is we had to cut our trip short due to unfortunate weather conditions. Everything was good, the AC leaked in the room. They advertised a hot tub but there wasn't one. Staff was nice and pool was great. Will stay again.
My traveling companion always checks the mattresses for signs of any infestations. Room 411 definitely had an active or previous bed bug infestation. The front desk was nice about moving us to room 311. We had a good laugh that the furniture all looked like it came from a yard sale. The new televisions that they bragged about only broadcast basic cable. There was no ability to being a movie from our laptop or phone, and no capability to go online to watch Netflix or YouTube account. The bathtub had a crack in it, the carpet was stained, etc. I'm not too awful picky, but geeze, I won't be going back into that hotel. I wish I had a picture of the ticking on the mattress. It was really gross.
This place is currently uninhabitable. Water damage throughout the first floor (at least) and a smell of sewage throughout the hotel. The carpet does not appear to have ever been replaced and if this wasn’t enough, the room I was offered had not been properly cleaned apparently in months based on the black mildew all over the tub and shower enclosure. Beds looked slept in… on top of that, the hotel refused to refund my stay when they could not provide us with a habitable room. 0/10 Don’t do it.
