Best WLM Reviews

Furniture & Room Condition: The hotel furniture felt like it was picked from a thrift store. The lamps were rusted, with either missing or non-working light bulbs, creating a dim, unwelcoming atmosphere. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable and did not provide any restful sleep. Additionally, the desk chair was ripped and looked as though it had been picked from a dumpster.
Cleanliness & Maintenance Issues: The shower tub’s molding was peeling off, and the carpet — both in the hallway and in the room — was at least a decade old, stained, and had a terrible odor. The TV remote control was sticky, which added to the lack of cleanliness in the room.
Closed Amenities & Poor Gym Conditions: The spa was closed with a sign citing COVID-19 as the reason, which seems outdated given the current situation. The gym, while open, was unbearable due to the lack of ventilation, making it very uncomfortable to use.
Safety Concerns: There were loose tiles outside the elevator, posing a serious tripping hazard, which left me feeling unsafe during my stay.
Overall, the hotel experience was far below acceptable standards. In my opinion, it should not be branded under the Wingate name; it would be more fitting to call it "Loss Gate."
The lobby and rooms are nice. The hallways had inconsistent temperatures and the vending machines were not fully functional. They also have a sign on a room stating it is closed for COVID, in 2024. Overall the complimentary breakfast was fine and the rooms were very spacious and well kept. The location is a little difficult to navigate to Fort Eisenhower as you have to turn left across 6 lanes of traffic with no signal or go a little ways down the road.
place was great stayed two nights and it was wonderful. quiet, peaceful, no one walking around. the random door shutting but thats about it. location isn't to bad right next to the highway. stayed bc storm Helene destroyed my home so it was a good nice hot bed and shower
This place is disgusting. The walls are gross and sticky. The floors look like they've never been mopped. The air is still and sticky. The "gym" is broke down and hot. There is a sign on the whirlpool door that says it's closed due to Covid-19...lol It's November of 2024! I think we've moved past that.
I wanted a better condition of the room we stayed in. I believe it was room 211. The mini fridge was unusable as it had a foul smell. The bathroom floor tiles had at least a 2-foot crack and seemed like the floor was giving away when you stepped near the area of the crack in front of the bathtub. We had the same feeling around the bed area. We were not happy but we were only there 2 days. This is the place we normally stay while in Augusta. We will have to find another place to stay.
John at the front desk was great and took care of an issue my guy had while staying there in a very generous way. My guy said he'd definitely stay there again.
Positive: The room was clean Negative: The location and the couch was dirty. Door frames inside bathroom were old, rusty, and needed painting
Breakfast is very limited to some items. It is definitely not kosher. Only fresh apples ???? are great there.
