1st impression was terrible. Trash overflowing right out front door. Inside was fairly clean. Worst Wingate I’ve ever stayed at. Coffee ok. Hot breakfast was pretty sad. Greasy sausage patties and artificial eggs.
Construction going on. Give it a couple years at most and it will be downgraded to a Days inn. It’s ready for the downgrade now. Appears to be run by Asian Indians. Very friendly and courteous people. 7/23/2024 update. Day before we check out. Construction still ongoing. Having to park next door, reworking parking lot now. They are trying to clean the place up. It’s a little inconvenient but very necessary to maintain their business. Breakfast is a little better with artificial eggs/ cheese turnover. Front desk attendants have been extremely courteous.
I've never written a negative review, but I would've wanted to know this information before booking. I had already booked and paid for the room online. Upon arrival, it took a while before anyone came out to assist us (around 11pm). When he did, he couldn't find my reservation and said there weren't any rooms to put us in. A good while later, he realized he had put someone else in my room and I was getting put in their room, frustrating but no biggie. Once we got to the room, it reeked of axe body spray to the point it was hard to breathe and we saw the sheets were pulled back and pillows moved like someone was laying in the bed before we got there. We called and the front desk sounded annoyed but put us in a different room. We get to that room and the AC doesn't work and it's extremely hot in the middle of summer. We call again, and finally get put in a third room (keep in mind he originally said he had no rooms to put us in despite me already booking and paying online). This room was better in comparison to the others (the bed hadn't been laid in and working AC) so we stayed, but we did not feel safe as there was a man passed out sleeping in the stairwell. There was trash sitting outside most of the doors, as well. Had I known all this beforehand I would've chosen another hotel in a heartbeat, but Wyndham is usually a good choice. This one, however, was not, and the price definitely does not match what you get.
Very neat and clean hotel, spacious room , I think they have removed the couch and coffee table from the room now , but that was okay , not a deal breaker.
Reception was nice and lit, price was also decent , not too pricey…
We stayed here as we were looking something close to Schaumburg conventional center to attend an event.

First of all, DO NOT BE DECEIVED! This is NOT a Wyndham hotel, its comfort inn being advertised as a Wyndham hotel. The information is deceiving. I wanted to avoid "inns" as they rein my opinion lower quality hotel. But was deceived. I booked a hotel and got an inn hence the dirtiness and low standards. Of course during my stay I could over looked that fact that it was false advertising as a Wyndham hotel but then everything was dirty! They so obviously reused the dirty bed sheet and pull cases. The bathroom was not clean! And even a puddle of water was left in the bathtub because the bathroom is poorly maintenance. Then to top things off there was a notice that basically said we can invade your privacy which you paid for without your consent and interrupt your stay at our convenience and you can't do anything about it. As if that wasn't an important thing to mentioned when they messaged me before my stay. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone and if anyone does plan on staying at least now you know what to expect. Also I'm pretty sure I paid for the price of a Wyndham room for a comfort inn room.
Very sketchy looking hotel. Location is nice. Rooms are super outdated with terrible lighting. Tub is in a terrible cleanliness condition. The outside of the hotel entrance is very suspicious looking. Same car usually at the entrance with people sitting in it and smoking up. Not the first thing I want to see when I’m coming late at night. No one is sitting on the front entrance to assist with anything. I don’t put reviews normally but this is definitely interesting.
Due to a delayed flight, we needed a room for the night. The desk attendant had to unlock the front door for us as it was almost 3 am. Check-in was quick, and we were in our room within 10 minutes of walking into the hotel. The room was large and clean. The room had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. The bathroom didn't have toilet paper, so we had to go down to the desk to ask for some. The bed was a great size but very firm. The pillows were great. In the morning, we stopped downstairs to check out breakfast. They had a decent selection of breakfast items and it was well stocked. Would stay again.
The hotel is neat, no tingling or bites. Housekeeping came every morning to ask if we needed help with cleaning. Trash was taken out . The breakfast is good.
Just wish they had a pool and hot tub, but the rooms and location are clean and comfy. I will definitely return!
