Best WLM Reviews

ZERO STARS.Nasty ???? people. Nasty service. I found a BUG in my food and when I took it right back up there I live in the neighborhood they would not prepare me a new meal or give me my money back. THEY TOLD ME I DID IT TO GET FREE FOOD. All I ordered was shrimp fried rice. It was demeaning to a repeat customer. I will NEVER eat here again. Go where they value customers and the business they receive. It’s unethical and unacceptable. Please find another restaurant to eat at. My family has been eating here for years. What a disappointment.
I used to love this restaurant. I agree with the previous review. Food seems different. Rice is bland and dry. My family noticed the sesame chicken and crab ragoon had a weird taste. Not too mention my bill was extremely over priced. The lady that used to be there at the front counter isn't there any more either. Idk what's changed but may need to change it back.
This used to be my absolute favorite Chinese food restaurant in the metro Detroit area. I would literally drive over an hour to get there. I noticed a significant change in the taste of the food, the presentation, the thickness of the sauce, the flavor and the texture. The food had gone from excellent to poor. I ordered Szechuan chicken and fried rice combo three days ago. The sauce was more of a liquid, similar to soy sauce. The food was extremely bland. The thick gravy like sauce seems to be gone. The vegetables didn’t seem really cooked and the rice was bone dry. Usually I would pay an extra two dollars to have some veggies added to my rice so it’s not plain but that day I didn’t feel like adding more money to make it what it should already be in the first place. I’m guessing this company doesn’t really care about the quality of the food any longer and I would expect other people who frequent this establishment may gradually stop coming here. I don’t plan on going back there. Also the dining room has been closed for a very long time.
Food is always incredible but there's a bit of a wait. They tell you 10-15 minutes on food and I waited inside for a good 20 minutes or so after the 15 minutes before I had gotten to the restaurant. The lobby can be full of people waiting for their orders (there were about 8 people waiting while I was there) and the only person working the front just keeps picking up the never ending ringing phone and taking more orders instead of cashing people out and getting their food, it was very chaotic and people just kept piling in the very small lobby. As annoying as all that was, the food is delicious and worth the wait. They definitely need multiple people working the front so that there's one person dealing with people picking up food and another answering phones and taking new orders
While it has become a carry out post COVID and we miss dining in, food is still great & plentiful. Ordered the cashew chicken full of veggies & cashews with the chicken and a little heat. Love their almond boneless chicken & Singapore noodles ... Don't forget to snag a spring roll. ????
The stroke egg foo young Patty had barely 2 shrimp in it it's a pretty large Patty it's just a half shrimp what's worse is it didn't have egg the egg looks like powder egg it wasn't real egg or it was mixed with something else it's not what the quality of a Egg foo young Patty should be in Detroit.
Lots of people waiting for food. Difficult to park...every parking spot was taken. I ordered by phone SUBGUM WONTON SOUP. It was ready when I arrived. When I got home and opened the soups ( I ordered 2) There were no wontons in the soup. Meat and veggies only, the broth was tasty. However, how do you exclude the wontons? The crunchy side noodles (fried eggroll wrapping) were stale. This was my favorite Chinese place. Always fresh and tasty food when they open on Tuesdays. Not sure I will return. I don't think it is under the same management. I am a long time customer ( more than 5 years) and visited almost once a week. They have a computer system in place, it is hard to call in orderes now, you get a message that they can nit accept calls right now. I have not seen the usual staff I would speak to each week. I was truly disappointed. I will keep an eye on the reviews to see if things get better. For now...I am looking for a new place.
Were right around the corner and always opt for takeout from here. The price is good and the portions are generous. My partner and I usually split a general tso meal with fried rice.
