Best WLM Reviews
When I'm down in Fort Mill, I don't often go out but I'm glad I found this place. We were craving wings and this place did not disappoint. They had so many wing flavors that there is literally a flavor for everyone. They also had something I've never seen at a wing spot before; grilled wings. Normally I'm used to fried wings but these are a healthier option if you wanted to go down that route. We ordered the Korean BBQ, Garlic lemon pepper Parm, honey hot and honey gold. All great flavors but I think the Korean BBQ was the winner. The seasonal steak poutine fries were also a 10/10.
The service was definitely the best part. Stacey was our server/bartender and the minute we met her, we knew it was gonna be a good time. She was so friendly and down to earth. She gave great recommendations. She also made some amazing Margaritas. I will definitely come back from the service alone. Stacey was great!!!
A nice touch that I liked was that I was able to see in the kitchen while they were cooking. I always love that aspect in certain restaurants.
Super friendly staff, good menu, well organized atmosphere, and prices that compete with all the big guys. It was a relaxing darker environment, yet some how very vibrant at the same time. We placed an order and did not know what to try, we paid and waited. The man said "10-15 minutes you will receive a text for your pickup." We thought as busy as this place was that was actually a pretty quick time. 4 minutes passed by and "Boom!" A text came through and it was ready for pickup. We sat down for lunch up the road, opened our boxes, the smells were phenomenal, the chicken was juicy, the flavors had pizazz, the homemade blue cheese dip was creamy and tangy, the chips (which u can order floppy or crispy) were delicious and seasoned well, and the COOKIES'N MILK CAKE WAS THE TOPPER!!! If your in town or a stone throw away, hop on in and give this place a try. Your wont "Regert" it!!!
My wife and I have been enjoying Wing King of Fort Mill for years now. It's a perfect location to eat in, or to call ahead after a tough day at work and order your meal for pickup on the way by. Service has always been top-notch, even in the rare instances that we've had an issue. It might be a little on the pricey side, but you really do get what you pay for. Nice meaty wings, decent portions that will leave you with leftovers, and a desire to return in the future. Their blue cheese sauce, if you care for such, is second to none, and I've eaten at quite a few places and their blue cheese dipping sauces never hold a candle to Wing King's secret recipe. One Friday evening when we ate in, there was even a live game of name that song that was an enjoyable treat for my wife and myself. Will return, again and again.
Wings are usually dry and overcooked. My husband loves the burgers there, so we get food from there often. They have not gotten my wings right yet. One time the wings weren't bad, but they forgot to add the sauce. It's always something, but just the wings. For a wing place, this place sucks!
The Wing King in Charlotte is the best though. Even the staff is better in the Charlotte location.
10/12/2024 I ordered some of their rotisserie wings, which are typically good. I returned them because they were made incorrectly and burnt. They had a lot of dry seasoning on them, which I never encountered when ordering the previous week, but the manager on duty stated that’s how they’re made. I had been getting these wings like every other day, and we never had dry seasoning all over them, but this one time a manager swears that’s how they’re made. She looked at the wings and said yes, 1 or 2 burnt so we can remake them for you. I asked them would all that seasoning come on them again, and she stated yes. Therefore, I said that’s alright, I’ll just get a refund. She stated they don’t give refunds, so I basically had to get something or nothing at all. They should have a big sign on the door saying “WE DON’T REFUND”. I chose the mesquite wings, which were too salty, so I threw them all away and that meant I spent $17 for 10 wings I couldn’t eat.
Hands down, the best fried pickles I have ever had! I was in the area for work and a coworker recommended this for lunch.
The wings were huge and really good with crispy skin and tender meat, but a basket full of fried pickles was the highlight of the meal. The pickles were still plump and moist with a very crunchy crust and there were enough for 4-8 people to share one order.
Our waitress was attentive without being intrusive and anticipated our needs excellently. The atmosphere was a pleasant version of a basic bar, but I have no doubt their regulars come back for the food.
I plan to go back when I am next in the area.
The cashier and servers are amazing. It was my first time at their establishment and they were very helpful with me ordering exactly what I wanted. I was also ordering for others and they made sure that I even got their orders correct. They were kind, professional and very patient are key ingredients to any successful business.
Ordered appetizer and food. Appetizer was the only thing served correctly. After waiting for the entrees (35+ mins) they sat our food down at another table. Then took it back to the kitchen and brought to our table 5 minute later with the wrong side. Brought out the correct side which had no sauce on one set of wings that you pay extra for, no seasoning on the fries on either entree order. Then proceeds to claim the sauce soaked into the chicken. The chicken finger where dry. Instead of correcting the bring out a side of sauce. Poor service and aside from the appetizer the rest was no good.
