This is based on one visit during a football game. The place is nice enough. For game day, I would not recommend. Several TVs did not work. The connection was weak and the game kept flickering. It was a rainy day so maybe that affected the connection. Huge projector screen but it's too bright inside so it's hard to see. The food was fair to good, depends what you order. Not a bad place just to grab some quick food, but not a place for game days.
Customer service was trash especially the cashiers making comments if we don’t like it we can go to chick-fila and get a 13 piece from them. The manager in charge was only focused on decorating the restaurant instead of helping the people in the kitchen. When other customers were complaining she was trying her absolute best to ignore the comments and instead try to fix the problem. I also waited a long time for my food and tried to dine in just to be told I had to go and the store wasn’t closed till 11:30. It wasn’t only me who waited a long time but two other group of customers and treated with no respect.
Wait time, service, and experience were all horrible. Won’t be returning again. Placed a dine in order one hour and 12 minutes before closing time and was told I was going to have to take it to go as they were closing not at 11:30 but 11 on a Friday night; all this was due to my order taking a near 40 minutes to be made. I was able to hear cooks in the back talking negatively about other guests in the dining room after guest had gotten up to not surprisingly also complain about her wait time. What seemed to be manager was not interested or cared to help out the kitchen to push out orders.
I visited Wing Bar on Boca Chica as it close to my parent's house, and I must say, it was a great experience. The hot wings here are possibly the best in town. They were crispy and the sauces are rich, flavorful, and with just the right amount of heat. The service was also great. The staff, and especially, the manager were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed.
Fountain drinks were unattended, Pepsi was more water than Pepsi, the orchata and melon aguas frescas had a weird taste, some other sodas were not available, so we were limited to certain drinks only, oh and when we asked for one of the beers, the guy taking our order told us he couldn’t sell it to us because they were expired…. So we were like, why are they visible to the public then, this same person taking our order was really nice and he actually helped us as much as he could, I could understand that he was trying but it’s not a 1 man job, props to him.
Food was ok nothing extraordinary, this is the first time we tried wing barn it will definitely be just for an occasional thing to do. The best thing we had and enjoyed was the fried pickles, really crunchy and flavorful.
I spent $68 on a 36 traditional wing meal. We did not get 3 ranch dressing, too many feathers left on the wings. It was so gross. We received 2 out of 3 flavors for the wings. We asked for a cheese on the side to go with the fries. The wings were smothered in cheese.
I mean $68 dollars is a lot of money for the order to be incomplete and unappealing.
My last few experience here were less than impressive so I haven't been going. Decided to try it out again and it's a complete change! Staff is very attentive, food was fast, fresh, and delicious! The manager Elissa was great and so sweet! And will be visiting much more often now!
I accidentally got the poppers with bacon when I wanted vegetarian items. the staff was nice. When I ordered some sweet potato fries they did not charge me. Everything seems to be made of very fresh ingredients, especially the vegetables. Friendly staff. Chill atmosphere. Good value.
