We came here to try the Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. Let me tell you, it was super good! It's definitely worth the wait. The pizza takes about 45 minutes, but it is well worth it. It might be a little on the pricey side for pizza, but it is really good. I definitely recommend trying this pizza for sure.
The place was not so busy either. Actually, we were the only ones who were in there for a while. Very clean place as well. They also have little games to do as well. The decor is pretty cool as well.
Would definitely come back again!
Windy City Pizza in Virginia Beach is a must-visit spot, and it’s become a highlight of our summer vacations. This was our second time dining here, and we already can’t wait to go back!
The casual atmosphere is perfect for families, with Chicago memorabilia on the walls and even a movie playing to keep the kids entertained while we waited. The service was excellent—friendly and attentive—and while the Chicago-style deep dish pizza takes forty-five minutes to bake (as their menu mentions), it’s absolutely worth it. The pizza is phenomenal, with rich, authentic flavors and the perfect crust you just can’t find anywhere else.
Our kids loved their meals too—pasta with sauce and fries for our daughter, and mozzarella sticks with fries for our son (who also happily shared the pizza). Everyone left full and happy.
With plenty of parking and a family-friendly setup, Windy City Pizza is a great spot to enjoy delicious food in a relaxed environment. It’s become a tradition for us, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Virginia Beach!
We got the Southside Special Deep Dish and the Snickerdoodle Cheesecake. It exceeded our expectations! The Italian sausage was delicious. Atmosphere is relaxed. Like a multi generation family owned pub, there's something for the whole family.
This is honestly the best deep dish pizza I have ever had! The pies aren’t huge but they are hefty and packed full of ingredients and flavor. This place is very much a gem for this area. Recommend ordering in advance. Highly recommend to try them out!!
Best Deep dish pie hands down! The sauce ????, the fresh ingredients ????! the atmosphere feels like you are home in the 80s, lots of decor, plenty of games both video and pool table. Cozy atmosphere that feels homy.
I've been to Chicago a few times and after the first visit I fell in love with deep dish.
The staff were extremely polite and knowledgeable. I called my order in for pick up. When I arrived they were welcoming and my order was ready. We ordered the Heart Attack and substituted beef with bacon. They do not skimp on the meats and cheese and my family enjoyed it very much. I know we'll be returning in the future.

We went there to enjoy a Chicago Deep Dish Pizza and we really appreciated! The ambient though...I would suggest the owner to renovate the building.
Visiting family in VB from the northeast. Our son insisted on finding deep dish pizza. Google search lead us to Windy City and it was a pleasant surprise. Spouse does not readily admit to liking any pizza but raved about their deep dish. Impressive to me. I have no authentic frame of reference but we thought the pie was delicious and enjoyed it. We got the 12” deep dish with pepperoni and garlic butter. You can taste the garlic butter for sure. 2-3 slices is a big meal and the pie has 8 slices. Enjoy!
