Best WLM Reviews
Wanted to see if I could get a REAL CHICAGO STYLE PIZZA, in the 757. And I think I found it!
We got to the restaurant within an hour after they opened on a Saturday, and it was not busy at all! We were sat immediately and decided to out in an order for an appetizer. We chose the buffalo chicken dip. The dip was served with pita bread and they were the perfect texture. If you’re like me and don’t like your bread burnt or super crisp, then you would like the pita bread. Fluffy. The dip was amazing and the perfect amount of buffalo! Wasn’t too heavy either. The dip was 8.95.
Now onto the pizza: it was a deep dish, Chicago style pizza. We added sausage as a topping, and it was so good! I honestly couldn’t speak highly enough of this pizza. It was so good! It was 22.99 before the topping, which was an extra 1.75.
The price is up there for a pizza, but honestly it was worth it because the pizza is so filling, it would comfortably feed 3-4 people. My husband and I ended up taking some to our friends who couldn’t make it, cause we couldn’t finish it at the restaurant. If you’re trying to find a good pizza place to eat with some friends, this is it!
Service was fast and our waitress was very friendly!
Cash and card is accepted!
Had the Special Deep Dish Pizza and it was very good. Overall the experience was good. Knowing ahead of time that the deep dish takes about 45 minutes was really necessary. The pizza was $30 and fed three people. Its well worth trying.
I've only been here once but will definitely be back. This great little mom and pop Chicago style pizza place makes you feel right at home when you enter. Staff is a little light so be prepared to wait. The deep dish pizza will take about 30-40 minutes to cook. We brought a card game to play to pass the time. The pizza is worth the wait though!
So this place was recommended by some of our friends as having some of the best pizza…deep dish pizza. This place is definitely the best pizza all around! Scoping out the website it did warn you about a 45 minute wait…..well worth it. Meanwhile we ordered a sampler while we waited. Chicken wings were outstanding, I’d put these wings against the top competitors in the area! Their version of a mozzarella sticks came in form of small pie in half breaded and deep fried, it’s a new and fun twist for me….it was very good! The fried pickle spears were top notch crispy and crunchy. The wait time was about 45 minutes give or take a few, but when that deep dish came out….what a beautiful pie! This pizza is 10/10. The sauce was light and flavorful, full of cheese and meats/toppings. Wonderful food fare. Staff was friendly, table service was fair and scarce at the table.
Overall a wonderful dining experience and highly recommended, repeat customer here!
My experience was good...it was my first time at that location...as I have only been to the General Booth location. The food was fast, and it came out promptly. I wished their cheese fries were with a cheese sauce, vice the oven melted cheese. Other than that, everything was good. Being able to get a hot pizza puff just gives a little slice of home right here in VA!!
Pizza is not that great. Mediocre to be kind. We ordered our pizza ahead of time on our way back from Busch Gardens and thought we would just eat it there. When we arrived at about 8 pm (they close at 9) the VERY RUDE woman behind the counter (she was in a pink sweatshirt and I’m guessing the manager) told us they don’t accept call ahead orders and that the dining room was closed in a extremely condescending manner. To be honest, at that point I almost said keep the pizza and l was ready to just leave, but we were hungry and we got our pizza and left. I will NEVER dine at this facility again and I will make sure all my friends know the type of rude service this establishment provides.
I've never encountered issues with food orders until today's unsatisfactory experience. Traveling over an hour to the Chesapeake location, I placed an order by phone and paid upon arrival. Unfortunately, my Italian Beef sandwich was incorrectly prepared, including sweet peppers despite my clear request for none and hot peppers with cheese. Although the staff offered to remake the sandwich, the owner intervened, displaying an unpleasant attitude and refusing to fulfill my request. Consequently, I requested a full refund and will not engage with this establishment again due to his unprofessional demeanor.
We called ahead on our way home from out of town and placed our order and the girl on the phone was very friendly. When we got to the restaurant we asked if we could just eat the pizza there and were immediately and rudely interrupted by some lady (owner? manager?) who immediately started ranting about "WE NEVER DO CALL AHEAD ORDERS ON WEEKENDS ONLY TAKE OUT... yada yada yada it was hard to understand as she was speaking so quick and so flustered." The whole time the girl at the register is just apologizing to us about the situation, "I should have said it over the phone," obviously uncomfortable and clear that this isn't the first time this lady has acted like this. We weren't upset about the policy at all, if she had just calmly said no I'm sorry, our policy doesn't allow for call ahead dine in on weekends I wouldn't be here writing this. IT'S NOT WHAT YOU SAY, IT'S HOW YOU SAY IT. Leave the customer interaction to you employees who understand how to treat people in a professional environment and stay at the back of the house until you get some training. Pizza wasn't bad, but we won't be back.
