A relative told me about this place. They were for sure that I would like it and I did. Kudos to the cook. The fish was fried perfect and crisp! The prices are amazingly reasonable. I have to try the Salisbury chopped steak next time. I'll be going back soon.
DONT COME HERE IF MORE THAN 4 PEOPLE....Came here, 5 adults , one child and a baby. Was told could not give us a table nor a time on when a table would be available, restaurant was half empty, 3 groups of 4 people came after us and were all seated. Hostess told us she couldn’t move the table that were all open in photos below . This photo was as we left, it was more empty than this before then, absolutely dumbfounded, a restaurant can’t seat 5 adults and 2 kids. Hilarious, should be called 4 people max grille
Nice little restaurant and bar. I met friends here for drinks on my way home from Memphis. Cocktails were good. They ordered rhe fried catcfish appetizer. It was so delicious. Will go back if in the area.
My first reaction was to leave because the hostess was rude. When we came in there were four people in line and two seated. I asked the young lady if I could add my name on the wait list. She said no I would just have to wait because other people were in front of me. I said I understand that's why I asked to be on the list. She walked away. My sister convinced me to stay. Luckily it was only a few minutes before we were seated. After that everything else was good . Our waiter was friendly and prompt to bring refills.
The food was top tire yummy. My sister and I split the Buffalo catfish appetizer, 8 inch grilled chicken and spinach pizza. We also split a club sandwich that we bought for our lunch tomorrow. We both agreed the catfish was the best of the night. The side of coleslaw was delicious as well.
Restaurant was clean and not crowded. We did wait a while for a server to come greet us. Food was amazing. We will be back. Best Chicago style food we have had since we moved from there. The 3 hour drive was worth it. We will be back!
Very dark at the table we were seated at. Got mushroom appetizer, which used to be good. Tasted like dirt. Took an hour to get food.
Fun place on the square in Hernando. Typical American burgers, deep dish pizzas, Italian dishes and such with a Chicago spin (hence Windy City). I had the beef sliders,, which were very tasty. The fries were excellent. I would definitely come back. The only drawback was that our table was not completely cleaned before we sat down.
I recommend arriving early, like when they open. This was my first, and I ordered the fish and chips. For appetizers we had the grilled chicken strips and mozzarella cheese sticks. The grilled chicken was great! The fish was worth the drive! I can't wait to visit this place again and try something else on the menu! Great portion too!
