The room was dirty. The floor hadn't been cleaned, the stove was a complete mess. Hair in the bathroom sink. The heat/cooling unit was covered in dust. Then you have the elevator, gross. No updates on the inside at all. Very disappointed.
Perfect location, right on the ocean side of Ocean Blvd. Less than a mile from the main strip of businesses (Ripley’s, Gay Dolphin, shops, etc). They have 2 towers, one is 9 stories high and has an elevator. Every room in this tower is an ocean front room. The other tower is only 3 stories high I believe, but that one is walk up only. They have an indoor/outdoor pool along with a kids splash area, a hot tub, and another outdoor pool. They provide pool towels in the office so you don’t have to use your own. Our rooms have always been clean and fairly updated. Our only complaint (it’s very minor) is the door key. We have to scan our key multiple times to get in the door. Sometimes keys can deactivate if it’s held against your cellphone. But the cards can still be a little finicky. They have plenty of parking on both sides of the street. Family owned and family friendly.
Location was great! Right on the water and seconds from the beach/pier. Don't expect anything fancy,this hotel was NOT it!! For the price, during a holiday, you'd think they would upgrade the rooms and amenities. Staff was great!! Y'all remember to tip your housekeepers they work hard!! My bathroom was a little truckstopish and my fridge was disgusting!! The pool area could use some work/or be maintained a little better. Other than that it was cool.
Great location! It's all downhill after that. Not much parking. We stayed in the three story tower. Room could definitely use a facelift. Patio door was very hard to open. Closet door fell off when we tried to open it. Air conditioner was above the fridge so we had to use a chair to turn it on. They were doing work on the room next door so we got to listen to hammering and sawing all day. Outdoor pool and hot tub were very dirty looking. Vending machine on 1st floor was out of order and product inside expired in 2013. But we were able to overlook all that because of the great ocean view.
You guys need someone better to answer your phone. We usually go to the compass cove and we wanted to try something new. I found a rate which I liked and so when I called it was so different, literally double the price then what is quoted. Says $62, 3 nights come out to $440. Either math has changed drastically or I'm having a mental breakdown and can't process numbers because that does not add up. You have cleaning fees and all sorts of extra fees and I wish they would just be straight up. So when I called the guy wasn't having it. Customer service goes a long way. Simply answering the phone nice will go a long way.
I’ll update this as my time here progresses. At first glance this place looks amazing and like it would be a 5 star place. as soon as me and my family entered our room we noticed a puddle of water on the floor in front of the refrigerator, the AC was leaking. Called front desk they said they’ll send someone in the morning. The balcony door doesn’t open very much, the bathroom door doesn’t close all the way which isn’t too big of a deal, the bathroom should be updated however. The WiFi sucks, but the cell service isn’t bad. There are 2 unopened rolls of toilet paper and a half used one sitting by the toilet. I will say this however, the beach is amazing it is clean of litter and the sand is soo soft.
We got this room because we were on a budget so we were not expecting anything fancy just main necessities. Our bathroom door was broke. Split the floor up, which is fine. It’s still open and shut with no problem we informed the front desk they said they would notate it so we did not get charged and we did not. The view was beautiful. There was a kitchen in our room. Small but worked perfect for our little family. The only complaint I have about this hotel. Is they over chlorinated the swimming pool and not only my hair but my kids feels completely fried from too much chlorine. It’s been a week since we’ve been there and I still can hardly get a brush through their hair. I’ve done hair treatment after hair treatment. Nothing helps so if I had to recommend anything, I would say stay out of the over chlorinated swimming pool my hair went from pink to bleach blonde after one 15 min swim.
You definitely get what you pay for in regards to the rooms, as they did not look like the pics I initially saw online. Rooms are very much dated. However the service from the staff was really good. They were really welcoming and nice.
