Smelled amazing in the room and hallway big spacious room hot water better then the other two hotels I've stayed at here when visiting the prison. Felt comfortable and safe my whole stay with parking right by my room. The staff was absolutely amazing and helpful. I will come here every time from now on.
The service was exceptional. Ramon at the front desk was very friendly and helpful with all of my needs. All of the staff I encountered were great. The hotel is small, but clean, quiet and comfortable.
Breakfast was adequate and the coffee was available anytime. I'll definitely stay here when I'm in the area again.
As a family of 6 we appreciate being able to stay in one room and a breakfast that isn't just donuts.
If you need a hotel that is brand new, fresh paint, with concierge in a suit- this is not for you. The rooms are slightly dated, and the bathroom needs paint, the carpet a bit stained- but everything was clean.
The bathroom floor had been cleaned with an incorrect cleaner so it was sticky to our shoes.
Staff was very kind, not overly attentive, but extremely kind. Nothing was inconvenient to them.
The A/C was a little difficult to keep a solid temp.
But if you're looking for somewhere quiet to sleep and breakfast- this will work for you.
We were very impressed with our experience at this hotel. Lobby was updated and welcoming, check in process was smooth, room was extremely clean, quiet and child friendly. The beds were comfortable, and there were lots of options to choose from at the Continental breakfast provided. If we ever need to stay in Prairie Du Chien again, we would choose this place over any of the others in the area. Thanks for the great stay!
Best hotel in town for the business traveler. Quite & Clean room, large desk in the room, good breakfast, excellent & friendly service. The machine made coffee was even decent!
Maybe there are better places in town if you are on a vacation with the kids, but why are you in this town for vacation? IDK, I think it had a pool but I didn't look at it.
Windsor Place is FAR better than the hotel it shares a parking lot with. The rooms are larger than the hotel across the street where I could barely work at the desk because it was tight against the bed.
Windsor Place is the only logical choice in Prairie de Chen.
This place is much cleaner and cheaper than Microtel. Within walking distance of Huckleberry Restaurant. No coffee pot in room. You have to get decaf from the Kerig in the lobby. The room had everything else.
It’s definitely a budget hotel. Room was musty and the condition is sub par. We turned on the heater for a few seconds and it smelled like it was burning. We shut it off so it wouldn’t stink up the room and just went without. The chairs were filthy and in need of a refresh, broken items were fixed with tape, and the bathroom ceiling was growing mold. It’s a bed and a place to sleep, not much else going for it.
Decent place to stay. Seemed clean through my stay. Location is a mile or so to downtown so you'll have to drive. I would consider this place again in the future.
