Best WLM Reviews

Roland and The Winds Café KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK!!! Thank you Violet for taking care of us and making it a great evening.
Butternut squash, pumpkin lasagna was amazing as always. The red snapper was delicious and I’m a sucker for duck, which was above and beyond what I expected.
Great wine suggestion Roland!
Fantastic menu!! I had the ratatouille crepes and they were amazing. Perfect comfort meal. My husband got the duck and it was the best duck we’ve ever had. Love that the menu caters to seasonal items. We came for our anniversary dinner and can’t wait to go back to try more dishes!
Noah. Hannah. Olsten. My fave bartenders and Winds associates truly make the Winds a favorite haunt of ours. They are all (and Noah especially) foodies, extremely knowledgeable about food drink and spirits, and will curate your dining experience whether at a table or the bar to your liking with absolute professionalism , personality, and exceptional attention to detail. 10/10 would recommend!
My first time here ever! I will be treating myself again & maybe with freinds & family my next time. Didnt catch my servers name, but she did have black hair. She was friendly, checked on my table at a decent amount. If my table had any suggestions on food or concers, she'd reccomend her personal favorites to help us out. For my appetizer, I had the Aged Cheddar Soup. It was perfect with all this cold we've been having. For my main course, I had their Scallops & Dill with roasted fingerling potatoes. Everything on that plate paired well together. Lastly for dessert I went with their classic, Chocolate Mousse. I needn't say more! Go & enjoy this place on your own or with your friends & family to get the best experience.
Okay we had reservations for 6 We all ordered something different. We like to share-zies. Everything was good. The charcuterie board could be a bit bigger, but whatever herbs you air fry in with your French fries I would order as a side dish. WOW. They were delicious! It’s the small details that I particularly enjoyed. The garlic plate and the duck were excellent! Great atmosphere. Please take in all of the beautiful art while you are there! ???? FUN!!! Cozy place. Great prices too.
Terrible first time experience will likely be our last. With a half-full dining room, it took 75 minutes until we were able to place an entree order for a table of two. The food overall was almost completely unseasoned. The balsamic salad dressing lacked the key ingredient and was simply oil. The duck was served rare, almost blue. But advertised medium rare. Our server was dreadfully under trained, which is not their fault. Despite trying to be respectful and patient, the Management completely brushed off our bad experience. $140 for a two-top on our anniversary. Its cute. But the lack of customer focus is a real let down. Save your money. Would not recommend this place.
We moved to the village a year ago and The Winds was the first restaurant we began dining at. It has become our go to spot and feel so welcome from the staff and the environment. The menu is always on point (even if Roland won’t make me a bacon wrapped pork chop). Roland and his team take great pride in the food they construct and serve. We love Noah behind the bar and we never have to wait for a drink. Sure it gets busy at times, but they always serve incredible food. Our favorite is the dessert, pavlova, which is extremely addicting. Great spot, great staff, great food and we will continue to frequent often. We bring friends and clients often. Did I mention we love Noah and the rest of the staff?
I'm vegetarian and they have a few options but not a ton. There is definitely nothing wrong with this restaurant but I've been probably 5-6 times and the vegetarian options are just okay but not five stars. It is the nicest restaurant in Yellow Springs and perfectly fine. Lots of people love it so it might just be the vegetarian options are not amazing. No major complaints at all. Patio is especially great!
