Stuffed chicken is excellent. Good flavor. The veggies are seasoned well. Good sized portion. Stuffed mushrooms appetizer was good and there were 10 or so on the plate. Entree arrived about 40 minutes after placing order. Very nice atmosphere. Friendly staff.
Was part of a group of group of five, we tried to make a reservation but didn't see how to do it online, called the number and nobody answered. When we got there got told a half hour wait, ended up being an hour, they said they had a lot of reservations that night, not sure how they were made. I had the stuffed BLT with salmon added, upgraded to tater tots (see picture), my one son had the Cajun pasta which he said was very good. Others in party enjoyed their sandwiches, other son had shrimp linguine which he said was solid. Our waiter was attentive and nice surroundings. Besides the reservation issues a very good experience. My wife had the Chipotle chicken sandwich which had the jalapeno bacon on it which was very tasty.
The pizza is wood fired apparently, but very soggy and over sauced. Apparently, true fire oven baked pizza eludes this establishment. Very bad!
Had a great meal, we all enjoyed. A few bones in the Walleye filets. Portions were well worth the price! Great Long Island Tea as well! Would recommend and return for a second try!
The menu has far too many options for them all to be good. During my visit, I tried their bacon burger (under seasoned), beef brisket rigatoni (again, lack of flavor/seasoning), and their fried walleye appetizer (actually really delicious!). They really should reanalyze their menu and cut the fat. Less items to choose from, but higher quality ingredients/cooking would serve this restaurant well. 2/5
Winchester & Rye hosted my wedding dinner and did a fantastic job from start to finish. They were very accommodating in allowing us to get in and decorate ahead of time, as well as even custom make some amazing egg rolls! The food was the best I've had at any wedding I've attended. Kim, Amber, and all of the staff at Winchester knocked it out of the park. I highly recommend you choosing this restaurant for any event or even just to stop by for lunch or dinner.
We recently had the pleasure of hosting a groom’s dinner at Winchester and Rye Restaurant, and we can’t recommend it highly enough. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional.
The food and drinks were fantastic. The decor was beautiful. The team went above and beyond by decorating the space to fit our event.
Service was top-notch throughout the evening. The staff was attentive, professional, and incredibly accommodating, ensuring that everything went smoothly and that all our needs were met with a smile.
Winchester and Rye is an excellent choice. Highly recommend!
I would have given the food a 5, but I ordered a steak medium well, and it came out rare. By the time it was corrected, I wasn't hungry anymore. Everyone was finished eating by that time. My daughter in law ordered the same steak, but medium. Her's came out well done. Everything tasted great. The server had placed the properly and had given great service. They did take care of my meal to make things right. We'll be back! ????
