The ladies in the main office were so friendly and so helpful when we arrived! Barbara cuddled our animals and directed us to the beach and Steph had my husband in stitches! The weather was a mix of good and bad but we enjoyed every day! We will definitely be returning next year!
We rented the Chinook cabin for a few days. The cabin was clean and provided the basics for our stay.
You do need to bring linens - recommend a king-size mattress pad and sheets since the mattress is deep. I brought food I could heat in the microwave or easily prepare on the 2 burner cooktop.
There is a pull out sofa, space is limited, so this would be okay for small kids, in my opinion.
There is a toilet and shower - no vanity.
You will have to brush your teeth using the kitchen sink. Not a deal breaker, you have access to the RV Park bathrooms, which are well appointed.
There are signs that crab/seafood is not to be cooked inside the cabin. This would be for the lingering smell and the next person renting the cabin. We cooked our crab outside, so not an issue.
You have a nice covered porch with chairs and a picnic table in an uncovered area overlooking the marina.
The office staff were very friendly and assisted us when booking our next stay.
The RV campground will be 8 additional cabins for rental. This is a great addition since the cabins seem to book up quickly.
This place is so great. The staff is friendly and everything is clean. The WiFi isn’t shaky and streaming is flawless. I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our second stay here. I can’t wait to come by again.
Tips:
The halibut fish n chips and clam chowder at Crabby’s are a real treat.
The showers are better in the newest section of the park. No “push button” as you go.
Nice park in a great location in the bay. The sites are quite narrow, though. The games and amenity room is nothing but a conference room. Great laundry and shower houses. It would be nice if they enforced the 5MPH limit. Having kids, speeding trucks in a campground is a constant irritant.
This is the first time we have stayed in October and not been able to get a Bayside spot. Staff is great, had to make a change and she helped save some money on the reservation. Open spots are promptly cleaned.
Our first visit! The welcome team at the check in area was so excited for us that we got 123, the most “coveted” site. Everyone in the park is super friendly. Seems people come and stay a while. I can see why! View is spectacular! Marina on one side, Winchester Bay on the other. Spotless, numerous bathrooms that are well heated. Will become regulars!!
I'm almost 70 my wife 71. Us and several couples in our party stayed at the RV park from Thur thru Sunday. This is a trip we all do a couple of times a year. In the past it's been an enjoyable experience but this time it was made very uncomfortable. The camp hosts we encountered were very agressive. I paid for an extra parking spot to put my trailer and ATV like I've done in the past with no issues. Not this time, I only used my ATV on the dunes for an hour over the course of 3 days but aparrently the park is very hostile to any form of ATV or ATV owner. It was so uncomfortable I wound up taking the trailer and ATV to the campground directly across the road. I will never stay at this location and neither will any of our friends in the future.
They are outstanding! They sanitize the sewer connection, clean picnic tables, wipe out electric boxes, weed trim the spaces & rake fire pit. Clean restrooms & laundry. Friendly office staff & hosts. Park has water views on both sides. Highly recommend!
