As this historic place nears it's end as a Greyhound Track, it seems like a sad shell of what it once was in it's heyday. I could only imagine what it would have been like in the days when Babe Ruth and Micky Mantle came to the track. A bygone era, soon to be completely erased.
It was very enjoyable and interesting to spend time there today. I suggest that if you ever wanted to see Greyhounds run, you make plans and go asap.
I am not a gambler so the poker etc was not a draw to me. However, watching people play poker is quite interesting. If you enjoy people watching, it's not a bad place to be....
I wish all the people who work there with the dogs the best of luck. I am sorry that you have lost your "jobs". I know caring for the dog's is far more than just a job to you.

We had a great time. I miss the dogs running there, but the simulcast room is very nice, food is good and the service was spectacular. Karrie was super friendly and made our day enjoyable even when we weren't hitting our races.

I have never been here despite living in the area my entire life. Went with some friends tonight and had a blast.
They do a great job of social distancing everyone there to watch the dogs, not so much in the card room though.
They have some food and drinks but it was nice to just be able to hang out, place some bets, and watch the dogs run.
This place is ???? % better than Hardrock ( crooks) but the guards are very rude in general. I think they all want to be a cop in their earlier carrier but failed and thinking they have some kind of super power working here. Lol ???? pathetic behavior. BTW they all have same attitude. Give them raise or fired them it's not good for business.
Plenty of parking. Excellent Mexican restaurant across the street. Black Bear dinner is good and clean. Showers need updating.
Had a great time there and our dinner was delicious! Hubby won some money at the poker tables, too.????
Decent spot but my luck is the worst... they knock my head off constantly...
