Can’t say enough nice things about this restaurant! We enjoyed all the details of the interior and sat in a booth with a nice view. Food was delicious and waitress was inviting and honest about recommendations. Tried the root beer, totally refreshing and served in a big mug. When you finish, you pay at the entrance across from the ice cream counter. Of course we had to also try the ice cream - a perfect dessert to end the meal. Overall a great experience and one of my favorite meals while visiting the peninsula.
What a delightful surprise! Our spontaneous Sunday drive led us to Wilson's Restaurant & Ice Cream Parlor, and I can honestly say it felt like stepping back in time to a simpler, more joyful era. The moment we walked through the doors, we were enveloped by the warm, nostalgic charm of the decor, which perfectly complements the welcoming atmosphere.
The highlight of our visit, of course, was the ice cream. I can’t emphasize enough how amazing it was! Each scoop was rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor—definitely some of the best I've ever had. Whether you prefer classic flavors or something a bit more adventurous, Wilson's has something for everyone. It took me straight back to my childhood, and I found myself relishing every bite.
The restaurant is nestled in the most beautiful area, surrounded by picturesque views that perfectly complement the delightful experience inside. Whether you’re enjoying a leisurely meal or just stopping by for a sweet treat, you’ll be captivated by the scenery.
I cannot wait to return to Wilson's! This gem is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates good food, fantastic ice cream, and a touch of nostalgia. Don’t miss out on this incredible spot—you'll leave with a full belly and a happy heart!
We always stop here whenever we visit Door County. The ice-creams are unbeatable, and they have a decent menu for a quick lunch/dinner. Finding a parking spot can be a hassle at times, and the place is extremely busy, so there are definite wait times. The place, and ice-creams are not to be missed though. They have small jukeboxes along the seats as well, which gives the place a retro ambience.
Very delicious ice cream shop in Ephriam Door County. Be patient because in the summer the line gets huge and the wait can easily be 30 minutes long. But defiantly worth the wait. I got the black cherry with natural cherry topping which was very delicious. Highly recommend,
The experience is what makes coming here worth it! Feels like you’ve been brought back in time and I loved it!
We had a Chicago hot dog, fries, and a single scoop hot fudge sundae with raspberries.
Everything tasted great but the proportion sizes are huge. The picture I added is of a single scoop sundae and I could barely finish it. I would ask how big some of the proportions are before you order because they were huge…probably a lot of food waste happens here.
But I would reccomend as a stop for your trip! The place is cute and the staff is lovely!
Nothing special. It feels like a tourist trap relying on its local fame and longevity in the absence of quality. But if you can get a seat on the outdoor patio, the view of the bay is great. I got mint chocolate chip ice cream and a bland cheeseburger
A great throw back into a time of innocence and simplicity.
The chocolate malt took center stage with a taste of perfection. Root Beer took 2nd place with creamy deliciousness balanced with the perfect amount of vanilla, swimming in an icy area of fine chipped ice. The hamburger appeased as the 3rd place winner to our choice at Wilsons
This is a Hallmark Postcard come true. Stunning old world burger place with great food, home made root beer, and ice cream sundaes. I traveled to this area from New Orleans where food is life. This place makes you feel alive. Memories of a simpler time. By all means it is worth planning a trip that allows you to end up here.
I did.
