For the price point of the restaurant, I’d expect better service. The restaurant was very slow, and seemed to have the appropriate staff on. However dirty plates on our table for the majority of our meal, other tables were left dirty in the dining room for a significant portion of our experience. I could’ve used a water refill but our waiter hadn’t done a table touch for a period of time. The coconut shrimp was great, however the steak we ordered was overdone, and even the baby potatoes were flavorless and greasy, and I could have used something to dip them in, but we couldn’t see our waitress. As it was our anniversary we would’ve stayed longer to celebrate, but we chose to leave and take our business elsewhere. We’ve had better experiences at an Applebees.
It was a very atmospheric restaurant. You could see right into the harbor. They have wonderful outside seating also. The food was good, the wait staff was even better, the tables were laid out in preparation for guests. I would have given a 5 star, but they didn't serve bread, but they did set out the bread plates. When a restaurant has high prices, they should at least offer bread. They had the Dave Viterna band playing that night, and the accommodations were great for a band with the outside seating. Overall, I would highly recommend!
I came last week with my parents for the first time and our waitress Madison went above and beyond! She was so friendly and so knowledgeable about the menu. She was so helpful to my parents with choosing a dish! Both my mother and I got the chicken piccata and we both agreed it was the best we’ve ever had. Will absolutely be back!
Such a great place. Love the atmosphere. The crab cakes were the best I've ever had. Had 3 cocktails and none were right, had to just choke them down, bartender might have been having a bad day because that is not normally the case. My last one was so bad I just left it. But the rest was wonderful.
The young woman who waited on us was very professional and right on with all her questions, timing, and smile. She was rewarded with a very nice tip.
Keep up the good work and always bring your ice separate from the drink...very nice!
I’m leaving you 5 stars because I’m in the food business and I understand what the owner is up against. Find someone else to create a menu and run your line. It’s too beautiful a location to overprice what we were served last night. You’ll pack the house with fresh innovative dishes even if it’s 5 items. You’re servers were dressed ridiculous and just don’t know what they’re doing. I wish you the best.
The service was great and the food was even better! We chose to go with the crab cakes, banana peppers, Zoupa, and Rib Eye! It was a beautiful establishment with a fantastic view! Just a short walk down the boardwalk to the majestic Lake Ontario! The Greek Gods themselves would be having a great feast at the boathouse!
They don’t care if you have a reservation. They are happy to either to “cancel” or “change” your reservation at any moment. We own a restaurant and would never treat our customers this WAY. They moved our reservation from 8pm to 9pm by text while we were on the way. Unacceptable. They don’t even have the guts to call you. They text. We will NEVER come back. EVER.
