Nicest place we have stayed in a while. The BEST continental breakfast!! Even our kids ate the biscuits and gravy, the pancakes, cereal etc! Thank you for accommodating our truck & trailer. Very helpful staff, had a jacuzzi/fireplace room which was nice. The pools and hottubs (indoor and outdoor) was a great asset! Will definitely be back!
This was a great place to stay on our trip to Dollywood. It was affordable and had a certain quaintness to it. It is an outside access hotel, so you don't have to travel through a building to get to your room. This does eliminate hall noise, but tended to make the room a little more humid. The rooms are large enough for a family of four. They do not have roll-out cots, but you can rent a very nice Serta air mattress for $15 per night. It did great for one of my kids. The breakfast buffet was standard fare but certainly adequate. We would most definitely stay again.
We have been staying here for 10+ years now, and all I can say is consistency. The rooms are always clean, the pools and hot tubs fantastic. It doesn't matter if you are traveling as a couple, or with the kiddos in tow. The location, for us, is spot on. It's quiet at night, and conveniently located by a turn lane, so you can get where you need to go on the parkway without much fuss. The breakfast is a typical continental with hot options, nothing to write home about there....but I didn't go on vacation to eat breakfast at a hotel. Bonus...it's attached to a big daddys pizza, and easily within walking distance of several restaurants and sweet shops.
Found a dead bee under the air conditioner unit... it was November... Found dead roach. fire place did not work and air conditioning unit had a horrible rattle to it. Service was otherwise great. My parents frequent this location and love it. I however did not have the best experience.
My family and I’ve stayed here numerous of times over the many years of visiting. This time on my trip I’ve ran into some issues…of course I understand that it is time for some renovations but that’s not a big problem for me. My issue is bugs..roaches to be exact. This morning 8/17 I woke up and killed 3 roaches in my room and I’m completely disgusted. I went to the office and the sweet lady in the office was able to get me moved to a different room. However, I’m still sick to my stomach about it. I can only hope I don’t have bug issues in this new room.. On the up side this hotel is located in a very convenient location which I like the most about it. They have a nice outside pool as well as an indoor pool. The front desk people are always friendly and they offer a decent free breakfast.
My granddaughter and I stayed here for her 16th birthday getaway. They were very courteous and accommodating when we checked in. The location was great! We had a room with balcony overlooking the pool (pool has a big slide as well as kiddie pool & hot tub)
& also the parkway. They have an indoor pool as well. The rooms were very clean. They have free breakfast each morning. We liked it so much we added an extra day and they gave us a 15% discount. We can’t wait to come back and bring more family with us!!
This place is home away from home. We have been coming to Willowbrook lodge for probably 5 years. We absolutely love this place, will not stay anywhere else. The hotel is wonderful, beds are comfortable, rooms are super clean. Breakfast is fabulous, the maintenance men are super friendly and office staff are wonderful. I love that they play Christian music in the office. Pool is clean, just over all an awesome place to stay. I would give this place 50 stars if I could. Love you Willowbrook lodge!! ❤️❤️
I recently stayed at Willow Lodge Hotel in Tennessee and had a deeply unsettling experience on my first night. Around 1:30 AM, I was awakened by someone attempting to enter my room with a key card. After a few failed attempts, they left, and I assumed it was simply someone with the wrong room.
However, just ten minutes later, I was awakened again, this time to the sound of the door opening. Thankfully, I had the latch lock in place, preventing the intruder from fully entering the room. I jumped out of bed and yelled to stop them. I was confronted by a man who appeared equally frightened and apologized profusely, explaining that the front desk had assigned him this room.
Imagine my terror at having someone try to enter my room in the middle of the night. I immediately spoke to the manager, who offered a weak excuse, citing a system error and a mistake by the morning employee in not marking the room as occupied. The manager also mentioned that the night employee failed to double-check the access code before issuing a new key card.
This incident highlights a severe lack of training and security at the hotel. The only attempts to rectify the situation were offering me a change of keys and a room switch, which I could not do as I was traveling with my 80-year-old grandparents in the adjacent room and needed to ensure their safety. The manager also provided a discount card for a future stay, but this does not compensate for the breach of security and the fear I experienced.
I will not be staying at Willow Lodge Hotel again. One thing you cannot compromise on is security, and this hotel failed miserably in that regard.
