Best WLM Reviews

Went here with my family, I’ve never heard anything about there being rooms, I just know it’s a camp ground. Anyways, its a pretty nice place to camp but I think the guy working there is on drugs or something, he came over to talk to us saying we were above the speed limit and I know dang well we weren’t and while talking to us he was just talking nonsense, though I could care less about that interaction.
The people here are always a 50/50, either they are super rude or really nice. I’ve been here maybe 3-4 times and 2 of those times people have purposely made there car alarm go off and hock their car at midnight 2am-4am. As I said some people can be very nice aswell, we had a kid come up to us while playing volleyball ball and he just wanted to play too so we let him and we gave him some food and stuff and then later his dad came over and joined us around the fire, it was great!
Went to visit a friend there who has time share there . It's a camp ground that has bathrooms with showers. The camp ground is all grass has shade trees and electric to hook up to and water camper motorhome pool trailer fifth wheel. It also has boat launch it's a nice boat launch and it's not steep at all. And it's right on the water
This used to be a nice spot. Now it's a dump. Docks are falling apart. Cleat are not secure. Missing boards. The urinal in the bathroom shoots water, and your pee out into the middle of the restroom. You can imagine the smell with the pee being shot into the middle of the bathroom. The "office" where the tweaker manager lives is a complete disaster. They charge you $20 to launch your boat. I paid the fee no big deal. Launched my jet skis. Parked my truck across the street. Walked back. I had 2 jetskis. Got my girlfriend lined out on hers, and then I got on mine. The entire process maybe took 7 minutes. As I'm leaving and my girlfriend is already gone, there is a boat backing into the side I'm on, waiting for us. They probably waited 2 minutes and had no issues with us. The tweaker manager completely misread the situation and decided to yell over to me to get out of the way. I've used boat launches for 20 years, and I know the etiquette. I was quick and out of the way. This guy "running" things there is a total loser, and the resort is suffering from it. There are many nicer, cleaner, and cheaper places to launch a boat on this lake.
I've only been here to use the boat launch. There is a steep drop-off almost immediately, so be prepared for that if you launch a boat here. The camp grounds look nice though.
One star for beautiful location right on the lake. Zero for the rest of it. This place needs an entire makeover. It could be awesome. But right now it is super neglected.
It appears there is a new manager in place. And it also seems extra effort is being made to restore the facility. The location is wonderful. We had trouble with water pressure on the first day. It was fixed within a couple of hours. There is no dump station on site. The closest (apparently) is several miles away. We never did find it. Our biggest concern was the site numbering. It makes no sense. It is impossible to tell where one site starts and ends. According to the signage it looks like three sites are sharing one electrical pedestal. The place was not busy when we were here, so I and the folks next to us figured out who needed what. Also, the three sites seem to share two water outlets. Like I said, just confusing but not a deal breaker. We enjoyed our stay here.
No one was there to check us in, but we managed to find the perfect space. One of the best places we stayed, for the view, and quiet.
I paid the $17 boat launch fee and at the end of the day the manager confronted me saying I didn't pay, which I clearly did. We went back and forth, but I wasn't going to pay an additional $17 ($34 total) to launch my boat due to their incompetence.
Aside from that this is one of the worst boat launches in the area. It's way too steep and the mooring ties are falling off the docks among other things.
I would suggest one of the other launches in the area which are cheaper and won't try to take you for $34 to launch your boat.
As another reviewer posted below, management is most likely on hard drugs.
