Best WLM Reviews

The customer service here is so good! I felt very welcome here. The atmosphere is very family friendly.
The dinner menu is amazing, we loved the food. I highly recommend trying some appetizers if you can, the catfish bites are amazing and the fried pickles are good as well. The blackened chicken dish was really good, and their steaks are great.
The menu has plenty of options to fit your budget. Before tip we spent roughly $124 including 2 appetizers and a couple of sodas and there were 7 of us!
We dined here on 12.14.14, party of 4. It's the holiday season and we should have called for reservations, but we didn't, so it was about a 20-minute wait at 6:30.
Service was a bit slow, but our waitress was so chill and sweet that it more than made up for it; we knew that things would be delayed due to the volume of people.
Drinks took 10 minutes to arrive, beer took another 10 and then we ordered. My boyfriend ordered fried flounder, my dad ordered a 10 oz filet. My mom ordered fried shrimp and I had a club sandwich.
The food came out and impressively, the food runners knew which place to set each plate rather than have to ask.
Most of the food lacked flavor. This cooked to perfection except for the flounder, which could have been cooked to titch.More however just very bland. The steak was cooked to perfection and could have been amazing, but as I said, lacked flavor. The fried shrimp was bland and overbreaded.
The food had the opportunity to be great if the kitchen used spices.
The atmosphere was fabulous
.... beautiful, wooden style log cabin vibe. The bar was warm and inviting. The bathrooms were clean.
Decent food. I had the grilled chicken, mash potatoes and a side of steamed broccoli. For an appetizer we had gator tail and mozzarella sticks. Mozzerella sticks were a bit too cheesy and chewy. The chicken and mash potatoes were great. Service was great. Overall it was decent but the prices are a little too much for decent food.
Truly a great place for special occasions. So many different smells makes you want to look at what everyone else is eating. Yeah , like that! Servers have always been topnotch. The food is prepared as ordered. My wife likes her steak well-well done. I like beef jerky too , but come on!!! ITS STEAK. Prefer mine with proof of life color in it. Overall, If you want a good steak , chicken or whatever looks good on the menu. Order it.
In Closing ,
A little on the pricey side, but you can't expect quality below cost. Yes there are cheaper alternatives but is that what you want to do on your wedding anniversary or your child's graduation dinner. It's not only good food . It's the quality of what you do that leaves lasting impressions. Celebrate life openly.
Our first time here. It was ehhh for me. The sandwich I ordered was Delicious. My fries were soggy. The crispy onions weren't crispy. The mozerella sti is were not good (to me) and there was no icecream for cobbler so I couldn't try. I'd have to give it a second try. ????????‍♂️
We had a fantastic Independence Day weekend at Willie Sue's with my family! ???????????? We arrived just before the dinner rush and were seated right away. My wife and I splurged on some fancy Pappy 10-year-old bourbon to celebrate our road trip from Ohio to Sumter. It was worth every penny! ????????
After drinks, we dug into some seriously delicious meals. The fried grouper and pimento mac and cheese were my absolute favorites, but everyone else seemed to enjoy their choices too – grilled chicken, fried chicken tenders, crispy onion rings, and the Ash's Bacon-cheese Chicken Grill. ????????
If you're ever in Sumter and looking for a great family-style restaurant with a wide selection of bourbon, I highly recommend this place!
Me and my family’s first time eating here! The food was amazing. The staff were very friendly! And it wasn’t even that long of a wait! Thank you for the great service. ????
Quite frankly, here you pay for the illusion of good food, not good food. If the price reflected the food quality, they would go out of business. We ordered the nachos as an appetizer, and I've never seen a more unappetizing appetizer. The chili was lumpy but also pasty at the same time, and the chips were slightly stale. Moving on to the entree, I ordered the seafood pasta, and as you can see from the photos I've attached, I didn't eat most of it. The alfredo sauce was plainer than the jars of it you can buy at Walmart. It was so bad that my stomach hurt after a few bites. The scallops in it weren't cooked properly, and the 2 shrimp did not have the tails peeled off. If you're putting shrimp in a pasta, the tails need to be off. The menu advertised the pasta as having mushrooms in it as well, and did not have them in it. The whole alfredo just needed some seasoning. I can make better alfredo than that. Furthermore, the loaded baked potato I ordered had so much butter that they should have just given me the loaded baked potato soup and been done with it. And I'm someone that puts a ton of butter on their potatoes.
My mother's steak was ordered as medium, and it came back so well done that it was basically a hamburger. It was also oddly wet.
When I went to the bathroom, there was a lady puking on the floor in there. Probably another victim of this place's poor food.
The waitress had to come back 3 different times because something someone ordered at the table was out of stock several times in a row. It took a ridiculous amount of time for the food to come out, and the place wasn't even that busy.
To say something nice about the place: the waitress was lovely, and the water was cold.
