Willie Jewels is an absolute gem! This small local BBQ diner in Charleston blew me away with its excellent food and friendly service. The pulled pork was tender and flavorful, and the baked beans were hands-down my favorite—perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious. If you’re in the Charleston area and craving authentic Southern BBQ, look no further. Highly recommend!
I’ve been to 41 states traveling and I do a lot of eating out! I don’t usually leave reviews often but I had to, this time. I was greeted well, went over their menu etc, clean, food came out fast, server was friendly, the food and sauces were great. I’ve been to the big named bbq place downtown and I prefer this place over it. The price was way cheaper too! Lastly, they make homemade banana pudding not that imitation mess! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️????????
YES! Brisket mouth watering tender and not 2/3 fat! Great Smoked Turkey, Chicken and pulled pork. Ordered 2 - three meat plates, takeout, NICE portions, fries, baked beans, and potato salad, all tasty. You can tell everything is made with care and fresh. Bought at 2:20 PM today and not "reheated" lunch specials. Just discovered after being in Goose Creek for 4 months and they are our GO TO for BBQ in the area. They also offer Military Discount. Great people, Excellent food, and generous portions for the money. Willie Jewels is top notch BBQ!
Me n my husband went to Longhorns the line was to long I was craving some bbq ribs googled some spots found this and that’s all she wrote. Food is awesome they have blueberry corn bread I almost died how moist and delicious it was. Our plates says it all. That’s all folks.
The sides here are terrific! We enjoyed the fried okra, fried pickles, green beans, hash & rice, corn fritters, fries, and pork skins. Also try the blueberry cornbread if they haven't sold out of it yet -- sooo tasty! These guys certainly can make genuine Southern sweet tea...WOW! And, of course, the BBQ pulled pork sandwich was as delicious as I remember from our last visit months ago. We're definitely not waiting that long again to come back. Great staff! Great experience! Fantastic food. Great service. Staff was friendly. Not a lot of seating area, but we put some tables together for our large group of 15. Ribs are amazing. Pulled pork was enjoyed as well. The various BBQ sauces were great. It was the perfect after-church family lunch spot.
The Sweet & Tangy sauce is my favorite of the sauces but all are good. Meat is tender without being dry. Okra could use a little more salt or seasoning in the batter but great texture. Love all the signs on the walls and it feels like an old, small town BBQ joint. Tables are cleaned frequently and they even put a sign on it when it's been cleaned.
