We had lunch on 8/41/24 at Willard’s Real Pit BBQ and had an awesome experience. The service was fast, and they offered a variety of additional sauces to choose from. There’s plenty of indoor seating. We ordered the Jerk Chicken Platter with potato salad and mashed potatoes with gravy, and it was delicious. We also ordered their Texas Teaser Tray with mac and cheese, which was also yummy! Their ribs have more meat than any other place we’ve eaten before! We will definitely go back for more!
We got 3 plates with beef brisket, pulled pork, short ribs and a bunch of sides. Really good BBQ meats, really flavorful. The baked beans definitely earned its spot on the plate ????
Wanted to like this place but I think I’m just not a fan of the bbq style. I’m from Louisiana and used to a southern BBQ with sweet honey BBQ sauce not tangy sauce. The meat wasn’t dry but it was a little lacking in flavor and then, like I said, I like a sweet sauce and I didn’t really care for the sauce choices they had. The corn bread and Mac and cheese was a little dry but I did like the Mac and cheese flavor. I liked the potato salad as well. My husband and I ordered the banana pudding and peanut butter pie and we both took a couple bites and threw them away. They just were not good unfortunately. Service was good and atmosphere was friendly and clean.
I just ordered the duo plate on Uber Eats, and honestly, I have no idea where those pictures at the top came from because they must be from another universe. What I got looked like it had been overcooked to oblivion or reheated about 10 times. The “turkey” was a joke—looked and tasted like someone tossed a few slices of Oscar Mayer in a smoker from the Stone Age. I’ve never felt so disrespected by a BBQ joint in my life. If you value good BBQ, avoid this place at all costs. The only things even close to edible were the mac and cheese and the roasted sweet potatoes. Never again.
Long ago, far longer than 70 days, I amended my carnivorous habits. {With apologies to Jimmy Buffett, may he rest in peace} Yet my family still luvs that sumptuous BBQ our great country forever offers. So, our first ordering up at Willard’s? Indescribable. Absolutely. Undeniably. At a fantastically very reasonable cost! And though a bit far from Falls Church City, we definitely will be back! Soon! ????????????????????
F’real? Yup… Hands down, the BBQ here is that good! ✌️????????
**God bless the USA! ????????**
The food was ok as the brisket was too fatty to enjoy. The restaurant wasn't busy and must be more of a lunch place. I couldn't figure out why they had all the famous BBQ joints on the wall. Presumptuous to put themselves among BBQ royalty.
Decent little BBq restaurant with some good meats. The menu is big so you have lots to choose from when it comes to the type of plate you want. I had the tx style plate which came with pulled pork, a pork rib, sausage, a few slices of brisket, cornbread, and beans. The portions was actually great for the $16 price tag. I loved the home made sauces they had on the counters.
Has Willard’s today for a catered event at Fox farms, not sure if it’s because it’s an outside event so less care goes into it but all the food was unseasoned and dry I’ve never had brisket that wasn’t tender and falling apart, but this was it!! The pulled chicken and cornbread were ok. Mac n cheese has no flavor either and green beans seemed fresh out the can. I’m sure from the picture they offer a nice meal inside but I’d think twice if you want an event catered.
