Best WLM Reviews
My family visited the Willard during a busy holiday weekend. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by everyone we encountered. The valet experience was easy and the $70 fee was reasonable for the area. The one bedroom suite was stunning-we had two queen beds and a sleeper sofa, and the space was huge and well appointed. The hotel was full of personal touches-I was even given a beautiful gift of treats to help me celebrate my birthday! They were as tasty as they were gorgeous. The hotel was decorated beautifully for Christmas and even though there were many visitors, the hotel lobby never felt overcrowded or impersonal. The nightly concert was intimate and festive! We enjoyed our stay immensely and are already planning several return visits.
Third stay here and once again everything was fantastic. I received an upgrade due to my Ambassador status and the Jr. Suite was exactly what my family needed. Every person I came in contact with was personable and helpful. The hotel is verye clean and the food choices at Cafe Du Parc are excellent. The Christmas decor was also very very nice. I look forward to another stay in the future.
The lobby is super pretty and was decorated for the holidays. It was very cute. You can tell that the hotel takes pride in their hotel and wants to make it look nice for the season. The front desk staff and bellmen are wonderful. They show a level of luxury that you would expect. Valet is super friendly and work hard on getting your car to you as fast as they can. |The rooms are nice and spacious and really make you feel like you are at home. The hotel rooms and hallways are in need of a little update. |My only complaint that I had during my stay at the Wilard was Teatime. My family and I didn’t personally enjoy the Teatime experience. Which is normally a big rave, and we wanted to try it out for ourselves. First, our waitress, didn’t check on us at all. She sat us down, gave us water and rushed through the menu. She was attentive to the other tables, but we were an afterthought. The worst part was when I paid, and she looked at the check right in front of me to see what her tip was. That is something you should do when the client is gone. |The tea selections were fine, but we weren’t asked if we liked the tea or anything. However, the gentlemen who brought us the food. He was nice and explained what item was what. I wished that he was our waiter. |Other than the teatime, I would still recommend the Wilard. It is a nice place and does offer that hospitality feel.
The most iconic hotel in Washington, D.C., opened back in 1818. We can only imagine all the historical moments, events and agreements that have been achieved in this beautiful hotel. The word lobbyist itself has its roots in the lobby of this hotel (originally interpreted by Ulysses S. Grant).
Definitely a hotel in an amazing location, with great style and above all made and intended only for the elite classes, which in itself says it all.
Many newer and more famous hotels nowadays can envy the organization and way of doing business within the Willard Hotel itself.
All praise for the management and staff I had the opportunity to contact....
Positive: Everythingl. I booked almost a year ago and didn't know what to expect. It's so luxurious. We enjoyed Hotel employee at the front desk. She was warm. and welcoming and knowledgeable. We loved her attitude. Negative: Where is the coffee in the lobby? That's what the lobbyi is for to meet new people and share stories.
My husband and I were celebrating our tenth wedding anniversary, and we could hardly have chosen a more fitting hotel. Everything was superb: from the impressive lobby, to our sumptuous room, to the service. This hotel is the epitome of true luxury.
JP at cafe du parc was very polite and efficient. |Fabulous experience. |The overall stay at the Willard was great. Facilities are first class, staff was very courteous and we would recommend this hotel to all who are visiting DC. |The history of the hotel is impressive.
Positive: Their hotel staff are by far superior than I ever imagined. Assistant Front Office Manager at this prestigious hotel is simply amazing. She send a special birthday sweets and a lovely card. And assign me one of the best room available. Negative: I went to eat at the restaurant and the food was bland needs more seasoning.
