Best WLM Reviews

I can't speak for billing related things or other gripes like wait times etc in the ER so this is just the good side of it all as my insurance slaps so I don't really worry about most of that nonsense.
The staff I had and 2/3 Drs. excluding the crabby night Dr. were phenomenal. You got me stable and probably saved my colon by taking things seriously. I felt calm and safe for once and most importantly like I was being heard. Thanks for taking care of me when I was at a point where I no longer could take care of me.
One thing, the catering company needs to either be sacked or they need a serious overhaul and nutritionist. That food will kill people even faster. I understand limitations in the United States with things being processed but priority spending should be on the one thing that's landing a lot of people in the hospital to begin with; Nutrition and diet.
I never anticipated writing a hospital review. This Halloween I had the opportunity to see their decorations. Multiple departments had them up. The cardio rehab section was decorated as a donut shop with the staff as bakers. As a long time McMinnville resident I had no idea the hospital would do something like that. It certainly gives humanity and relatability to a place that can be frightening and daunting depending on what you're facing. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the staff in cardio to. Her enthusiasm and care when I come in, makes rehab something I appreciate and enjoy. She is definitely a pleasure to work with.
This hospital always leaves me saying "never again" and last night was no different. Took may husband to ER in severe pain. After an hour in the waiting room I asked how much longer and was told "I don't know". After 90 minutes and his pain getting worse now with nausea I asked again and was given a emisis bag. After 2 hrs and watching bloody noses and a "possible rib injury" be called back first I told the receptionist I was taking him to Providence Newberg. I also told her they should update the website because the ER wait time has remained 60 minutes for the last two hours. She informed me that the time was until you see a triage nurse... I suggest you either fix the website or educate staff because it actually says it is calculated from reception time to qualifed medical professional and defines that as an MD, DO, PA or ARNP... None of which we saw.
The 20 minute drive to Newberg was worth it. They took one look, roomed him and had pain meds on board in less than 20 minutes. With in an hour of arrival he already has a CT scan an was on his way to a diagnosis. Thank God we left this place, the staff at Newberg were horrified to hear we sat in the waiting room for two hours without being seen, given his eventual diagnosis. Save yourself and AVOID THIS HOSPITAL AT ALL COSTS!!!
Months and months I had been putting off some routine preventive health tasks. The barriers were nothing reasonable so I decided to take action and WVMC made it as smooth I could imagine. Scheduling —- staff person was truly exceptional and got it the following day. Wow. The admissions staff Christa was a beam of sunshine—working efficiently but with such kindness. You could tell her heart was in it. Lastly, the staff person in Radiology, Courtney, was just what I’d hoped for. She was kind, engaging and performed her roles with grace. The whole process from check-in to completed test was done is less than 20 minutes. And that was how I am healthier because of WVMC. And definitely happier, checked something off my to-do list!
I was warned about Willamette by most of my neighbors. I just needed some routine blood tests, and thought how bad could that be? Well, much worse than I thought. On checkin, I was told my insurance deductible had not been met so I would have to pay out of pocket in full. Understand that, no issue with it. So, I paid in full $830 day of service -- which seems like a lot for routine blood tests. Willamette also submitted a claim. Great, I appreciate providers entering claims against insurance so the expenditure can count toward the deductible. However, shocked to learn Willamette submitted an insurance claim for $2,900, they received $750 from the provider, and then sent a bill for an additional $45. Ultimately, insurance was billed nearly triple, and with insurer caps this comes to nearly double what I agreed to. Not sure if this is due to dishonesty, poor communication, incompetence, or a system specifically designed to bilk the customer. However, none of those are attributes one looks for when finding a trusted medical provider. Providing clear and consistent information, for a well defined and routine set of tests, is not something that is difficult nor is it something that should seemingly have any level of uncertainty.
Highly recommend! First time visiting Hospital to see a friend and the nurse Michael I went over & beyond with kindness me & my friend.
Thank you
Read these reviews carefully. Low rating reviews get the exact same answer each time. Real concern there. All the answers are the standard "contact us" response. This hospital told me " if you want to pay in full today for your x-rays, it will be $235. Elected to get Bill. They billed the insurance company double, $480
Seriously best experience ever! I ended up in the ER at 4am Wednesday morning and they got me right back right way, got us seen super quick by the doctor on call, got me started with IV meds, and testing to help figure out what was wrong. When they came to the conclusion I needed surgery, they didn’t wait until later in the day they got me right in at 9:30a in the morning, got my husband and 1 month old squared away in my recovery room. They took amazing care of my husband and baby while I was in the operating room and recovery room. They fed my husband and brought down a bassinet for our baby to use. Seriously made such a huge difference for me when I knew that the people I loved were also being taken care of as well. Thank you to all who took care of us!
