WD is the Dollar Tree of dentists! They refused to follow the six month cleaning/yearly exam schedule my girls had been on their whole lives, and then had such poor availability (they only book three months ahead and they’re booked solid about three months out ????), plus cancelled a few hours before our scheduled appointment (they charge you for late cancellation and punish you if they cancel by rescheduling three months after your appointment THEY canceled last minute). Because of WD, my daughter had to go a year and a half without being seen and she got her first cavity because of it. ???? All the staff at this location have been friendly, professional, and thorough, Willamette Dental simply needs to stop their practice of overbooking and avoiding the proactive care they claim to endorse. UPDATE- They still won’t provide even basic cleaning on a regular basis for us- not even for my daughter whom they caused to get her first cavity through lack of care! RUN AWAY!
I was a member years ago and they were wonderful. I just switched over from Kaiser Permanente. Kaiser is great at having every kind of dentist in house and available to consult you at any given appointment. Willamette dental requires you to schedule each thing separately. My latest visit this week felt like a high-pressure consultation to get a tooth extraction. I’m definitely missing the care I received at Kaiser.
ZERO STARS for terrible service. At 6:10 am in the early morning darkness they rushed a bus load of foreigners ahead of us waiting clients straight into the examination rooms without any of them checking in. We’re probably paying for that! Here at Willamette they could care less about you, you’re only a number. Girls at front desk are surly and not nice either.
I have had several fillings and a tooth extraction done here and all have been good experiences. Very well run office and other than office being cold (wear a sweater!) I have been very pleased with this service and so glad I signed up for it after not-so-great experience with other providers.
First, let me state that I hate the dentist's chair. I have had some pretty rough experiences in the past. Dr. Gourley was awesome and did a wonderful job fixing my tooth. No post treatment pain or anything and it was so quick compared to past experiences. I'm less anxious about root canals after this one.
I have been going to Willamette Dental for 8-9 years and I am changing because I call to make an appointment and have to wait 2 months to get in for a cleaning. Found out I have a crack in one of my teeth and now I have to wait 3 months to get in to get it taken care of.
I have had Willamette Dental now for over 15 years. Before the pandemic I was getting my teeth cleaned twice a year. Now it was cut down to Once per year. I had not seen them since last July. I called to get a last cleaning into this year because tomm I am going on Medicare. I called in last month to set up my appointment.
I go this morning they ask for the $10 copay. I then get my teeth cleaned. When I check out get my receipt for the $10 she says ...oh I see a balance of $100 for today's cleaning. I said why wasn't I told of this when I made the appointment or when I checked in?
I pay $43 @ month and this is what I get.
I paid it but let's be up front for a senior that is on a pension.
I only give it 2 stars because the hygienist deserved one.

It is now July 6th and I still have not heard from management of Willamette DentaI. So always check reviews still waiting for the call to make this right.
I wrote a review over 3 weeks ago (attached). The response sent back to me was management staff will get back to me shortly. I am still waiting.6/20/24
