A few weeks ago, my cat was hit by a car. I frantically searched for the closest vet that had an xray machine as my nearest vet did not have any. I had a poor experience with this vet many years ago, but due to my own misunderstanding of vet med. I called regardless because they were the closest vet. Originally, I was told that the office did not take appts until 10, and it was 9:05. I asked for an emergency appt and was okay with being charged extra for such. When we walked in, they took my cat back to get imaging done and we were called back within 3 minutes of finishing the paperwork . They explained what was seen, and the doctor present, wanted Dr. Wallis to give a second opinion on what he seen in the imaging. My cat was in shock and hypothermic and they had immediately placed him on a heating pad after imaging. They instructed me to call back if I hadn’t heard anything by 3pm. I called on my way home at 1:30 and was informed he would need surgery to remove the fracture at the base of his tail (whole tail) and a screw placed in his hip to stabilize the hips. They informed me he had also lost sensation in his hind end. They gave multiple options from letting him stay in the hospital and wait for improvement, or bring him home with meds and wait for improvement, or the decision to euthanize. I did my research knowing that the base of the tail contains nerves that control bowel and bladder and surgery may damage his ability to release/hold bowels and bladder. While also losing stability due to no tail and loose hips. They gave me price scenarios on ALL options. I decided to euthanize for my sweet boys comfort and unsure of his recovery. The staff waited for me to get my kids there to say goodbye. The amount of compassion they gave to me and my kids was unreal. They sent us home with a beautiful bag for our boy to bury him in. The price was exactly what they said it would be and they did not upcharge for an emergency visit. I’m thankful for all the staff in a very hard emergent situation. Their care and compassion made our loss a little less chaotic. And thank you Dr. Wallis and staff for the card I received after losing my favorite boy.
Lady at the front desk got a major attitude when I asked her not to approach my puppy, proceeded to curse behind the counter and talk down to me when I asked questions about the paperwork. They didn't even acknowledge when I walked in the door... take your pets to someone that cares enough to say "how can we help you" AND respects your wishes regarding your dogs personal space..
I needed to contact Dr Wallis for a second opinion regarding my service dog. The staff was amazing, the office was clean & hospitable. This is an extremely busy practice & you may have a long wait, but Dr Wallis is well worth it. He is experienced & very knowledgeable.
I’ve never had a bad experience here. My son did. They are always super nice to me for routine visits.
Thanks so much to the staff for bringing Unique back to us. We appreciate each one of you so much. We recommend any furr baby owner to bring um here! They are better than the best!
Dropped my Great Dane off yesterday morning to get her spayed and picked her up today in a body bag. When I dropped her off I got told she would have to stay the night after surgery. Spoke with a lady yesterday afternoon saying surgery went perfectly fine no complications and that she was waking up from surgery as we spoke. Got another call at 8 AM today from the Dr saying “she passed right before the girls got here this morning, she was fine when they left last night so all I can think is maybe a blood clot due to her being so big” I don’t really understand why they are making dogs stay after surgery if they don’t have someone there watching them. She had no underlying conditions so I don’t really understand how she just passed with no explanation after a very common surgery. From what I’ve heard from some others this isn’t the first time a dog has randomly passed in the care of this vet regardless of what type of treatment that’s occurred.
It was that time of the year to get my dogs annual immunization shots. The house was packed, but we got in on our appointment time and got everything taken care of in a timely matter. They take Great Care of our Girl ! See y'all next time !
Be very cautious of what the vet tells you! I took my dog in to get his yellow tooth checked. The vet came in the room and told me that the tooth was broken under the gum line, it would need to be removed but it wasn't an emergency. A couple days later I call in and get the tooth extraction scheduled. So I took my dog in and they confirmed the tooth extraction. When I came back to pick my dog up they didn't pull the tooth, also they did a cleaning and I asked why they didn't pull the tooth the tech said the tooth was fine and they had no notes on what tooth was the problem. So the vet told me one thing and never wrote it down, also someone is lying because the vet said one thing and the tech said something else. I was also wondering why they did a cleaning when I never said I wanted to do one. Apparently when you do a tooth extraction that actually means a cleaning. About a year ago when I had gotten a tooth removed they asked me while my dog was under if I would like a cleaning as well I said yes. So from then till now they changed from asking you to no word about it and doing it without you knowing it's going to be done. After I got my fog back I realized that I came for no reason, so now I'm out of $240 because of lies and deciet. I will never trust this place ever again.
Also if you call them and get information why you were lied too they will throw you around to everyone and avoid the problem that has risen. I do not recommend this place
