Loved the atmosphere. When I arrived I felt welcomed And the front desk was very helpful.
My room was clean and it was comfortable.
The swimming pool and hot tub area was also clean. The water was warm, We really enjoyed using it.
The hotel was decorated with a cabin lodge theme that I really enjoyed. Truly a beautiful hotel.
I loved the old fashioned milk machine at breakfast. I also loved that they had oatmeal made, rather than having to make your own oatmeal, each packaged individually in a plastic cup (bad for environment). Breakfast was hot and ready on time each day.
Staff was always available to help help with any needs!
The only idea I have for improvement, would be paper rather than Styrofoam dishes, to be more environmentally friendly. But on this subject, they did have soap in the shower room that was not in the tiny little plastic bottles. Improving environmentally friendliness. And the oatmeal was homemade and served in a Crock pot, not little tiny plastic packages.
Rooms were clean. Bathrooms need tile and caulk and trim fixed, room window would not shut all the way. Carpets were clean and updated. They got us in 2 hours before check in. Pool was nice but waterfall doesn’t work. There in December, pool was warm!
This is at least our 3rd stay here. Always pleasant. Staff always friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included and is pretty standard buffet food. Very clean. Quiet hotel. Very good surrounding area. Only 20 minutes from the Iowa State Fairgrounds. Restaurants nearby. Easy check in and check out. It could use a little TLC with replacing some of the squeaky beds. Other than that, it met our needs. We had 2 queen beds and a pullout sleeper.
My wife and I had a great evening here. The service was excellent, and the pool and hot tub were great! The attention to detail and the whole feel of this hotel is great.
I recommend for an evening getaway or if you are traveling, or if you have family visiting from out of town.
We spent the weekend here with our toddler and had a wonderful time! Excellent location right next to Chili's, great hot tub, and wonderful breakfast. Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. Staff were very attentive and went out of their way to ensure we had a sack breakfast at 5 am for a hot air balloon excursion with further recommendations on local activities to enjoy. Would highly recommend and absolutely stay here again!
This is a beautiful hotel! The service and hospitality was fantastic! It has a heated, indoor pool and hot tub. The hotel is decorated as if you were in a hunting and fishing lodge, it’s just gorgeous. Close to lots of dining and shopping. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a great place to stay.
Our stay was amazing! Booked a single room within 4 hours of arriving. Arrived around 1am — the concierge was sweet and offered to bring us breakfast in the morning in case we didn’t wake up.
The room was spotless and the aesthetic of the decor was very inviting. Heated indoor pool and jacuzzi. Breakfast was simple yet done well. Biscuits and gravy, fresh. Eggs, oatmeal, cereal, waffles, juice, baked goods, etc. There were trays available, so we brought breakfast straight to our room.
Lobby had a ton of board games and plenty of seating. We had a uhaul trailer, which was parked in the back — area felt very safe and quiet, and we didn’t experience any theft/problems. This place was so worth it!
This is a very cozy and welcoming place to stay. The staff was fast and very nice. Lots of places to relax, play games and gather. We loved the fire at night and the bed was very comfortable. The location was perfect, we went to the Farmers Market and the Zoo. We will be back!
