Great place! The service was great, and it's near Glass Beach! The campsites were really good and the trail was beautiful! Led to a little pond, which was totally worth it. The staff was kind and welcoming. Nearby, there's a place that sells wood for less that 10 dollars! Although it was cold, it wasn't for long. The fire was easy to start and the restrooms were clean. I highly recommend here
It didn’t take long for Wildwood Campground & RV Resort to become a new family favorite! I’ll admit, we were all a little leery after reading some of the older reviews, but our large family group with 4 trailers are thrilled we took a chance! From reservation to check-out, the staff at Wildwood made the process a breeze! Travis, Kay & Vicki are friendly, helpful and determined to make your stay a pleasant one. Upon arrival, a staff member will lead you to your spot, assist where needed, and have your fire pit all set up for your first night. They even stop by daily during your stay to check on you! The campsites are clean, neatly landscaped and nestled amongst beautiful pines and redwoods that still allow you to see the stars at night. There’s even a trash can at each site that’s emptied twice daily! So many extra added touches. In fact, many of the benches and picnic tables you see around camp were made by Travis himself, from wood sourced from the property! There are many hiking trails on site and while we didn’t explore them all, we did discover the pond just a few yards from camp. The camp is quiet at night and people are friendly.
It’s plain to see, you can disregard the old reviews as the current owners and staff at Wildwood take pride in their property and are actively making changes to make it a much sought after destination.
We will definitely be back!
What an amazing place to stay! Kay and Travis are just the nicest, most amazing people. we pulled in late and Travis hooked us up, backed us in and started our fire for us. The owner Kay is an awesome lady and will be a lifetime friend. This is just an absolutely beautiful Park and we will be back for sure. Thanks so much for the amazing experience.
This is a lovely campground with the kindest owners. The sites are large, the bathrooms are clean, it’s quiet, and the owners go above and beyond to welcome each guest. We were greeted by name when we pulled in, shown to our spot, given assistance in finding the most level place to park, the fire was already built (with a complementary bundle), and then it was lit for us. For me, being a light sleeper, the quiet night was a blessing. Additionally, they offer hiking trails and a pond. All of this was at a very reasonable price, especially compared to the other campgrounds. We would highly recommend this campground and gladly stay again!
It’s a campground, not a hotel. Instead of rooms, there are sites with picnic tables and fire pits. The sites are pleasantly rustic, surrounded by redwood trees and quiet. There are, strangely, an abundance of cats, but they keep to themselves and go where they will. We were told there could be bears, but they’re not interested in people unless maybe if you leave food out. The only creature we saw was a banana slug. The owners were very nice and helpful.
We were happy with our stay. We had a P/W site for a truck and camper set up. All of the staff were great; all were very helpful and friendly. The facilities were well maintained. Trash was picked up daily. Restroom/shower building was on the older side but very clean and usable. The complimentary firewood for the first night was a nice touch for a campground. I haven't encountered that before. If we were in the area again, we would be happy to stay there a few more nights. The only suggestion I would have is to add a dishwashing station somewhere. If I missed it and it was there, please ignore my suggestion.
Travis, Kay & Vicky were awesome! Travis helped us back in and even offered to help set up our rig. What a welcoming team they were. This place is beautiful, surrounded by trees, hiking trails on the property and so close to town. I definitely will return we couldn't have had a better experience here. They are putting their heart and soul into this place, and it shows! Thank you for the hospitality and the kindness.
Just got back from a weekend trip. We really enjoyed Wildwood and hope to come back and would recommend this place. We stayed in Sites #60 and i believe it is the best spot in there. It was a quick trip to downtown, perfect for the location. But most certainly I wanted to Give a A BiG THANK YOU To Travis and his team members for their hospitality. Travis made us feel like we were family. Thank you again. We hope to return again. Greg & Alex
