We had an absolutely fantastic 2-night stay at this water park resort and hotel with our group of 8 kids! From start to finish, the experience was seamless and enjoyable. The staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed for a stress-free stay.
The water park was the highlight, with a wide variety of attractions that kept all the kids entertained for hours. Whether it was the thrilling slides, the wave pool, or the lazy river, there was something for every age and energy level. The lifeguards were attentive and professional, which gave us peace of mind as parents.
The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and perfect for a large family. The spacious rooms allowed us to relax and recharge after a long day of fun.
The combination of an exciting water park and a well-run hotel made this a perfect getaway for a big family. Highly recommended!
Came here with a group of 10 and had a great time. Our cabin was really nice, despite a few very small issues with some things in the room I was staying in. Parking by the cabins was an issue at times, they definitely need to expand that a bit but I feel like they were working on that. Waterparks were fun and the swim up bars were really cool and a good way to get away from all the kids a little. I didn't eat there personally but walking past some people eating, the food looked really good too. Definitely want to stay here again
Had a great weekend with the family. Room was beyond wonderful. Long walks to get to different parks but im not complaining about the free exercise. We stayed at Glacier Canyon and I had a very hard time figuring out where to go but I think that was more personal error. All around a good time. DO NOT ignore weight restrictions on the slides.
We have been all over the world and our kids love the Dells most! We have visited other water parks in the Dells but there is no need because Wilderness is large and set up so conveniently. There are 4 indoor and 4 outdoor and a few arcades with laser tag and mini golf. The water parks are clean and the rooms are decent. Staff is helpful and friendly and we always enjoy hiking and exploring the resort. Lots of seating, tons of tubes and there are plenty of slides so the lines are never very long and crowded. This resort has become a family favorite!
Friend and I went for a winter blahs getaway. Originally for wave pool but it's closed for renovations. Of course we booked for a second getaway in January. Had a great room with balcony and electric fireplace, comfy queen beds and nice shower. Had a good time overall, made even better without the crowds! Room very clean, no complaints. Personally, I enjoyed the tube slides because they had some lighting inside them. Cutouts for natural light or lighted rings inside tubes. I like to see where I'm going ......lol. Staff was nice.
This is a step above great wolf but the sofa beds in the 6 person rooms are terrible. The extras on the fun pass are fun but the lines for good carts and rope course are way too long. We prefer the wild west building. We loved our time here. The food options are so much better than great wolf. The cost is high and they do want you to listen to their time share speech. Towels are provided. I do not like that there are 2 buildings. One location is better in my opinion.
We stayed here for two nights and had an overall enjoyable time. Our teenage daughters had fun, and we appreciated the well-maintained property grounds.
However, there were several issues that impacted our experience. Upon arrival, our room was missing basic necessities like hand soap and body soap, which required a call to the front desk. Throughout our stay, the room was never cleaned, and we ran out of toilet paper, which was inconvenient. Additionally, the mattresses were quite uncomfortable, leaving everyone feeling sore each morning. For a resort, it didn’t meet the level of comfort and service we expected. Our stay was on the Wild West side of the property.
We've stayed at the Wilderness a few times now. Most recent, we were there 1st weekend of October. The main hotel rooms have been updated since we were there last. We've never encountered a dirty room or any issues with the rooms. They are well kept and spacious. I've noticed that the 2nd floor is the loudest as it is the floor that connects all the buildings.
For the most part, the employees are kind and helpful, but we have come across some very rude ones. Don't let that ruin your experience!
We find it easy to get around. There are signs, maps, and employees throughout the entire resort. The shuttles run every few minutes, though sometimes you may have a longer wait, depending on the crowd size. Walking distance is not bad so we usually prefer to walk.
Very expensive, though. We only ever purchase a few things inside. We paid about $20 for two scoops of ice cream, and a slice of pizza was about $7. Take Flight for four of us was about $54. This time around, we also decided to purchase unlimited fun passes for all of us. They were definitely worth it for us as we did multiple games of laser tag, go karts, mini golf, wall climbing, and rope course. We enjoy the arcades as well, but again, kind of pricey.
There are definitely more water park options during the summer, but the indoor water parks are still fun. The wave pool is the best one. Love it on a sunny day.
Overall, we've always had a good experience, and my children have always preferred it over other resorts.
