We visited the first weekend of November with two families. We stayed in two simple but lovely cabins right next to each. We took full advantage of the amenities--fishing, aqua trike, basketball, games, ice skating, mini golf, indoor pool, disc golf, tennis courts, maybe more?! The staff were all lovely, the place was well maintained, and the woods were beautiful and peaceful. We will definitely return!
Decided to rent a cabin and check out this huge RV resort. What an amazing but very busy place. the cabins are beautiful and well maintained. The only complaint was the culdesac we were on was VERY BUSY and social with a large family renting out most of the cabins. this mean they pretty much took over the area and has kids running (happily) to and fro. They had a a great time I am sure. I would hav liked more quiet and wished the back of the cabin had seating for this purpose.
Great little get away. My family and I have been going since I was a child and now I'm bringing my children. Staff members are always friendly and ready to help. Special shout out to Ron! He was fantastic teacher for the rocket class and we saw him all over the property always improving things. Cabins are well kept and the lakes are beautiful! Plenty of activities
My family had the BEST time here! The cabins were very clean and well maintained. The pool was perfect, the canoeing was perfect, and the obstacle course with rope swings and different things to climb was top notch. The staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful with whatever we needed. The location is perfect with all the stores you need for anything within 20 minutes. I highly recommend. My family thoroughly enjoyed every bit of nature while here, on top of all the fun they provide.
This was the WORST “vacation”. This is in no way a RESORT!!!! The rooms were filthy. Our vertical blinds were missing teeth so we had no privacy. The cabin was infested with spiders….We had spiders in our BEDS! Oh, not to mention we could tell the beds hadn’t been cleaned because there were empty water bottles sticking out from the mattress and others just laying under the beds. It’s been several weeks and I am still waiting on a refund. My child is traumatized and will probably be scared for life (spiders crawling on him in his sleep). I ended up spending more money to stay somewhere clean. We had to leave. There’s no way we could have stayed another night. I hate that I wasted my money here because clearly they are not going to keep their word and process my refund.
Staff was very quick to respond to any repair needs, should be comforting to any guests or potential guests.||Only downside was weekends when 12-20 ATV's and golf carts cruised the paved roads and pulled u-turns in front of our cabin. several times each day and night. Given today's unstable society this was unsettling with headlights flashing through the windows and engine noise. A group of male teenagers also roamed the grounds - dyed hair and one was carried by two others after walking on his hands and feet as if a marsupial ......complete with a fur covered tail; oddest sight we have seen at any resort! The howling/yelling was also less than comforting.
Staff helpful & personable. Large resort with lots to do. Lifeguards did a good job at both pools. Stayed in a wilderness resort cabin. Nice setup but definitely showing wear & tear. Mattresses & pillows need to be replaced. The pots, small appliances & utensils were very worn out. Enjoyed the stay just set your expectations accordingly.
To start we have multiple issues over the last 2 years. Cabins filthy, heat and cooling issues, blinds so bent you have no privacy and fridge not cleaned out from previous people.
Most recently we were put in a trailer with no heat. The trailer has not had heat connected for quite some time but yet it was rented to us for two weekends. Now we have to move and remake all of our beds.
All activities have charges now! Even for members. Halloween was condensed into one weekend with no notification so kids missed out.
No sorry was given, no compensation, nothing. I have been coming here since i was a young child and this place is a pure embarrassment. We will not be coming back.
So sad of what Wilderness has become.
