We had a great time and the kids loved the indoor water park. We were double charged the resort fee but once we realized we paid the resort fee online when we booked AND at check in we went up the desk and they took care of that. The big hot tub is my favorite and the roof top pool is pretty cool too! Definitely recommend for a family with kiddos!
My experience was great. Will at check in was awesome. Extremely helpful, informative, kind, courteous & professional. Ken the shuttle driver was also friendly, informative & courteous. Michelle in the Hidden Trail (I believe that was the name) was very nice, helpful & provided great suggestions & service. Our room was clean. The people were nice. They have tons of things to do. I would suggest you give yourself enough time to participate in all they have to offer. The restaurants onsite outside of the Hidden Trail were pricey but I guess that is to be expected. My family & I had a good time. We will come back so we can check out the outdoor parks.
Check in was a nightmare. Parking was terrible. The room was average. The pool, water park areas were good. The roof-top area is very nice. The bracelet they give you at check in was NOT ready to use until after the room was ready EVEN THOUGH you can use the water parks before then. This was not communicated at check-in. I left my wallet in our locked in the car, ordered lunch, scanned bracelet and it did not work. It took a text, calls, and finally walking to the lobby to get it resolved. The lady who finally resolved it was nice and helpful.|I think we would have enjoyed it more when our kids were younger. Now, it's almost overwhelming with so many people EVERYWHERE! They will not let Pizza delivery bring to your room, so you have to meet the person out front if you choose delivery. We got free tickets to Soaky Mountain, but didn't end up going. We had been before, and it was nice. Their lazy river is great!|One of the best parts of the stay was Live music at the roof-top pool with Shaun Abbot. He is very talented. |We prefer a more low-key vacation like in a cabin. This hotel was just too big and busy for what we usually enjoy.
We originally planned to book a hotel on The Island, but then we discovered Wilderness, and my daughter was instantly hooked! Before arriving, I had some concerns about the rooms, but the moment we got there, all my worries disappeared. The endless activities the resort offers more than made up for any initial hesitation.
From the water park, arcade, and games to the rooftop pool, ice skating, Christmas light show, and golf, this place truly has it all. Honestly, you don’t even need to leave the resort! My teen daughter had an absolute blast with her friend.
We came for a short weekend trip, and it wasn’t overly crowded. All the rides moved quickly, which was a pleasant surprise. What impressed me the most was how the resort sent daily updates about activities and allowed us to handle everything—check-out, housekeeping requests, and more—via text.
We’re already planning to come back for summer break!
I've always gone here since I was little, and it's still amazing, just like I expected. They have an amazing water park, great rooms (if you get them), and a lot of restaurants nearby, plus around 30 in the hotel. The rooms with 3 beds i do not recommend unless there isnt a sofa because the ones with the sofa pull out is deadly uncomfortable.
The “Information” desk in the lobby is designed to reel you into a Timeshare seminar, which then tries to lock you into a timeshare without giving you time to research for yourself. If timeshares were legitimate and useful, why was the entire process throwing every sales tactic my way? Very shady and should not be allowed. No one used the term timeshare until I was upstairs sitting at a desk with a salesman. This hotel is probably funded by the timeshare scam they lock people into everyday.
My family had a great time! The rooms were some of the nicest and cleanest of any hotel I have ever stayed. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The indoor water park was nice and very kid friendly. We will definitely be staying here again!
I had such high hopes and expectations seeing how much this place is advertised. The room, bathroom, food prices, and food quality were horrible. We arrived after dark and had no clue as to where check in was located. An email with the appropriate location of each check in would be very helpful especially for first time visitors. The temperature shower nozzle wasn’t working properly so while I gave my son a bath, a constant small stream of scalding hot water constantly ran. Our room had a funky smell. The bed was so hard that I even contemplated sleeping on the pillows. I found a large black dog hair on our sheet. The bathroom toiletries were a joke. We had 2 tubes of shampoo, no conditioner, and the smallest “bar” of soap I’ve ever seen. As much as customers pay, especially in the peak season, you’d think a little bit nicer toiletries would be provided. I wanted and tried to enjoy and like my stay but even after arriving later in the evening, we only stayed at the indoor water park an hour, even after I rented a cabana. The cheeseburger from the camp grill wasn’t fully cooked and you could see white pieces of what looked like fat. After that, I’d just had enough and we both agreed to just go ahead and leave. I specifically chose this resort for the water park to be able to use the next day and we didn’t even take that advantage.
