Best WLM Reviews
Host was as friendly as a cardboard box. He sat us at a table two feet from another full table, while the rest of the restaurant was pretty much empty. When I say “he sat us”, he dropped the menus on the table and walked away. We ask another host if we could move to a table with a little more breathing room, and he said no problem.
Our server never smiled and stopped by only once to see if we needed anything. We had to wave him down to get another round of drinks. The appetizers and entrees were all very good, but the crappy and unfriendly service took away any enjoyment of our dining experience. I can’t see recommending this restaurant to anyone, which is disappointing because the quality of the food was 4+ stars.
I was on a business trip, and this restaurant came highly recommended by my professional associates and an Uber driver. It certainly lived up to their expectations. The food was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. I opted for the salmon with seared vegetables, a side of gumbo, and ice cream cake for dessert. The service was also impeccable, with the staff checking in on us frequently to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. I chose to sit outside, as the weather was perfect for it. I highly recommend doing the same, especially near or around sunset. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant the next time I'm in Reno.
We had our 10 year anniversary in Reno and brought our dog with us. It was amazing to have dog friendly activities and restaurants. The table next to us didn't even know we had a dog until we were leaving. Leo got ice water and a plain hamburger while we enjoyed the most amazing dinner. The dessert tasted like a pancake, yummy!
Wild River Grille was a fantastic dining experience. I had the Pope Boys Cajun Chicken Sandwich, which was flavorful and perfectly spiced. We also shared the Bruschetta Bowls, which were absolutely fantastic—fresh and full of flavor. To top it off, I had a Dogfish 90 Minute IPA, which paired perfectly with the meal. Overall, the food, drinks, and service were excellent. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Reno!
We got there after lunch before dinner so they only had the appetizers me u but everything was delicious. The weather was good so we ate outside since the View of the river and the gardens they have around that area are not too far away and you could still see an overall view.
From start to finish, this dining experience is a treat for the senses! The bruschetta is an absolute standout – a thin, crispy slice of bread topped with fresh tomatoes and mozzarella, then drizzled with a deeply flavorful vinegar that bursts with taste in every bite. A perfect way to kick off the meal!
For an appetizer, the seared pork belly is a must. It’s indulgent, with melt-in-your-mouth fat layered in a caramelized, sweet sauce that leaves you craving more. And then there’s the rack of lamb – cooked to perfection, thoroughly cleaned so there’s no ‘gamey’ taste, just rich, tender lamb seasoned beautifully. It’s served alongside buttery basmati rice and fresh asparagus, rounding out the dish in the best way.
Every bite of this meal was amazing. Overall, it was a delightful experience that I’d highly recommend for anyone seeking incredible flavors and a memorable meal!
The service and atmosphere were both spot on ....However, I was not particularly impressed with the food/taste. We had scallops and they were ok but very expensive for just 3. The Shrimp pasta was also "ok" but not great. Our last item was the Chicken Picatta, in my opinion totally bland. I didn't taste even a hint of lemon... I really wish the food was better because of the great service and atmosphere.
A group of 10 of us dined here for a Bday celebration dinner and we had a wonderful time. We reserved outdoor patio seating where it was very lively and enjoyed live music with delicious cadillac margaritas. We tried several entrees: seared pork belly, plum chipotle salmon, trout almondine , ribeye, chicken marsala and French onion soup. All of the dishes were excellent with the exception of the chicken marsala which I found a bit dry and unflavored (3 stars at best). We finished off by sharing bread pudding and truckee river mud for dessert. A very nice and memorable dining adventure was experienced by all.
