We were looking for some really good pizza on our way down to California and stopped by Wild River Brewing in Medford. While the service was friendly and attentive, the pizzaleft something to be desired. The pies and the onion rings were a bit bland and the crust didn't really have much of a crunch.
That being said, the atmosphere was pleasant enough, and there were some interesting menu options to choose from. While we weren't blown away by our experience, it might still be worth giving Wild River Brewing a try if you're in the area and looking for a casual dining spot.
As you can tell we thoroughly enjoy the pizza lol. Very family friendly place. With delicious pizza the fries are great but wish we had them remade. The head cook definitely knows what he's doing and is very friendly. My pizza order was messed up and he went and personally remade the pizza which I really appreciate it. That's probably why the fries we're not as good overall though and were cold by the time the pizza was remade and we got back to the hotel. Definitely a place to visit if you come to Medford, especially for pizza ????????
I used to love this place but the quality of food has gone down hill. My last visit the pizza was a little burned on the edges but then there was a whole bunch of burnt pieces on the bottom (they must have forgotten to clean the oven). The meat didn't have a good taste at all (maybe cheap ingredients?) It left a very bad taste in my mouth. And what's up with ALL the flies???! Every time I come here I have to constantly swat flies off of me and my food. It's absolutely ridiculous and disgusting.
My hubby and I ordered a thin crust make your own pizza and it was literally the best pizza either one of us has ever had in our collective 131 years! We will never order from anywhere else when we stay here in Medford, which we do easily a half dozen times per year! Eat here as soon and as often as you can! I cannot wait to try some of their other menu selections!
Food is always great here. Today we had the All American pizza, parmesan garlic pub fries, and the seasonal cider from Gold Rush. My youngest loves their little arcade area.
We really enjoy Wild River, especially their pizzas and calzones. The service is always good and we've never had to wait long for anything. They have pretty good beer and house made sodas. The only thing we don't care for is their pasta, we've tried a few and they are always just ok. Go for the pizzas and calzones though and have a soda or beer and appreciate wonderful Southern Oregon restaurant!
I used to go to wild River quite regularly, before I retired, for lunch etc. They were awesome. This last week when we went out was almost noon and there was not a single soul in there customer wise. That's all fine and good but the service was absolutely horrible. Everyone was in the kitchen laughing giggling and having all kinds of fun. Then came the food and I always get a salad with the smoked chicken on top. When the salad game the chicken was cut up white meat of some sort and I said oh we don't have any of that they might make some later. I told him that's why I always buy the cobb salad because of the wonderful chicken that goes on top. I will not big going back wild River ever again. Sad to see a business go pot especially when they used to be so successful.
We had a family get together yesterday and had about 30 people. They took really good care of us. Food came out as fast as possible and was so good and fresh. The honey wheat beer was amazing. You gotta try the pub fries...Amazing. Thank You Wild River!
