Best WLM Reviews

Each dishes had a unique flavor and a kick. Food was good. But my dish was chipped here and there. The employee didn’t seem to care much when I brought it to his attention.
Service was ok…
And I saw the employee pre-served water on reserved table. Then when it was cancelled, she poured back those water and left the cups for reuse on next guests.
Not sure if Chef Jia Wei still oversees this particular restaurant as I've been out of town for over a year, but I've been going to Wild Mango back since it was first known as "Weia Teia" as a kid in middle school with my family back at its original North Olmstead location.
I've visited countless times over the years through various menu offering changes and had everything on the menu as a result and through location changes as well.
I even used to study at the restaurant after ordering rounds of food through the afternoon and evening during slower days back in college years and celebrated many special moments as I moved into adulthood.
I was supremely happy to hear that Chef Jia Wei had expanded his operations to Beachwood and Crocker Park and watched as more people came to appreciate the fantastic food and atmosphere along with beautiful calming music, luxurious architecture and furniture that Chef paid close details to expand the guest experience.
For example, no other restaurant at the time had chairs that had built in extensions where pull out the extra wood plank and you can place your purse next to you.
In addition, there is no specific attire requirement for this place although some may have differing opinions about this. Also, this is one of the few restaurants that is open almost every day of the year!
Anyway, Chef Jia Wei is a fantastic chef who brought to NEOH the much needed art of delicious enjoyment and upgrade to food presentation and guest experience in the Cleveland area food scene and service that would be unparalleled for decades.
Not sure if anyone else noticed but through the years he has managed to keep the overall experience of the menu close to the original design enough without raising prices extremely while other restaurants either went out of business, replaced many items to the detriment of the regular customers' palate, or down sized their portions significantly.
As a long time customer, I was afraid after seeing rounds of local restaurant closures since the Pandemic that this beloved establishment might have been affected upon my return to the area recently.
Nope! Wild Mango is still going strong after all these years and is still a crown jewel in the food scene!
This time, I ordered my favorite when dining solo, which were the Fried Calamari, the Sautéed Sea Scallops, and Crème Brûlée. There's something incredibly comforting seeing the food that I was familiar with and taste that brought nostalgic memories. Glad to be back in Ohio.
I honestly love everything about this restaurant (mostly since it aligns extremely well with my tastebuds) as you could probably tell but this is one of the FEW places that you can actually enjoy being IN the restaurant, enjoy the food, and take a break from the day.
I do miss the really fun experimental soups or amuse-bouche that we used to have in the earlier era of Wild Mango but the Cleveland food scene didn't appreciate that enough for it to continue (not to mention the insane inflation over the years on food and labor costs for procuring various food items).
I'm just very happy to know that this restaurant is still doing well and that many people on the CLE East side is frequenting it. Thank you always to the staff for treating people with warmth and respect - top notch service always.
What an amazing dining experience at the Wild Mango Restaurant.
As soon as you walk in the door the aesthetics and decor are extremely modern and elegant. The tables and dining areas are adorned with beautiful furniture and nice tablecloths.
Our server Myra did a stellar job, and made the dining experience even better!
The calamari appetizer was delicious as well as the sautéed sea scallops. And not only was the food top notch, but the presentation was perfection.
Wild Mango Restaurant was definitely one of the best lunches I have had in years! I can't wait to come back for dinner!!
We ate outside for dinner and was able to enjoy the live concert on the lawn.
The scallops, Pepsi shrimp and wrapped chicken were all delicious.
Nice place for lunch, dinner, or business meeting. The atmosphere is very nice and decor has a nice touch. Upon being seated there was a bit of a delay for our server to get to our table and get our water. Things got better after receiving the water, bread and placing our order. I removed a star for that reason. The food was very flavorful and portions are appropriate. I would return and recommend others give a try.
Wild Mango has been a long-time favorite of my family and my friends for good reason! The ambiance is incredible, the food presentation is gorgeous, and the food is simply delicious. We always have attentive waitstaff and great service. Favorites are the soup of the day (never had one I didn't love), the calamari appetizer and the salmon duo (though the duck and steak are also go-tos).
The Wild Mango is in a mall but when you enter the restaurant it doesn’t feel like a mall restaurant. We didn’t have reservations but got seated quickly. The hosts and servers were excellent and paid attention to us. We weren’t rushed at all. My partner and I shared one dinner and a salad. We each were served separate portions. Each one looked like a full dinner. It was more than enough food. Everything was well prepared and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s a great value at a reasonable price for what you get.
I’m giving it two stars because the atmosphere was very lovely. Outside of that everything else didn’t match the standard. The server wasn’t very welcoming. She checked on us about once before bringing the check & Got our orders wrong. The food lacked FLAVOR, it was more on the presentation side than flavor. VERY EXPENSIVE, which I don’t mind paying for good food, but this place was not worth the $100+ we spent. Will not go back.
