Best WLM Reviews
First time visiting here and really enjoyed the ambiance with lots of original exposed brickwork and beamed ceilings. Service was excellent and a nice range of beers at reasonable prices. Pool tables and dart boards are available for further entertainment.
Historic tavern located right on the Providence River, on the east side of the pedestrian bridge. The building itself is very cool, it’s pretty roomy and the old style brick walls will make you feel like you drinking in a true colonial tavern. I enjoyed the beer list and they were all reasonable priced. They have a pool table, two dart boards, a couple TVs, and someone even came in with a chess set, so plenty of stuff to do. I was able to get in with my Colorado ID without an issue. It’s also close to downtown, so easy to find other places if you’re bar hopping or just aren’t feeling the vibe.
Love the beer selection. Busy nights the sound can get very very loud because of the low ceilings. Great food places all around, and parking !
1/2024 - 1st time here. They have darts….????????????
8/2024 - perfect stop after burgers/sliders/pretzels down the street. ✅. Add a win tops it off.
The Wild Colonial is the kind of place you can sneak in at 7:30 on a Tuesday night for a scotch and a pint and a quiet conversation, and by 8 it's jam packed. The tavern balances a nice old world feel with a clean modern attitude very well, and has an excellent selection of whiskies and an ok selection of regional beers. Prices are more or less what you'd expect. The open rustic colonial feel of the place is almost a surprise considering how unassuming the hole in the wall doorway looks. The location is very convenient to downtown, so there's no reason to think about a car. I'll definitely come back the next time I'm in Providence.
Awesome colonial factory style building. Beautiful! The beers are interesting (Belgians, porters and stouts) Food is great on portions and toppings.
Great place to take a date.. or a group. Definitely has ambiance.. I you listen you can probably hear the ombudsman of old talking about old providence port!
whoever was on aux dec 7, Saturday night, you ate…rare to hear r&b -and even Black artists at that- at a bar. Great chunes ????
Thin guy behind bar delivered the most disgusting service when trying to return 2 drinks that weren't to the girls liking. He immediately refused to not only serve me but the whole group. My crew thought it was me that was rude.. when they went to talk to him, they too were absolutely taken a back at the horrific attitude and spite of this guy. They all started arguing with him. I got everyone to settle and just leave as we wanted a simple fun evening. I'm sad for the owner of this place.. a barman like him will destroy the business reputation forever. Will never return thats for sure
