Best WLM Reviews
The food is incredible, and the chef puts on a show that's out of this world. The high-quality meat and veggies make you forget that you’re in a Midwest strip mall; it's like they block out all the car noise. Plus, you can't see the parking lot, which is a nice touch that you'll appreciate, especially if you've been to other restaurants in strip malls.
TLDR: I keep coming here for the crab Rangoons, and everything else I’ve had here is also fantastic. The hibachi is good and entertaining, the sushi is fresh and delicious- BUT THE CRAB RANGOONS ???? ???? ????
I’ve visited this place almost every time I find myself in holland to visit my friend. The crab Rangoons are ridiculous and filled with huge chunks of crab! (See photo) I’ve not eaten the like at any other restaurant and I’m addicted! I’ll be craving them and have to visit Wild Chef!
I usually get the hot tea (pictured) and miso or clear soup (If I get hibachi, it comes with clear soup and house salad with ginger sauce that’s pretty good).
I’m including pictures from 2 separate visits where at one we ate hibachi and at the other we had sushi in the dining room. The first plate of sushi is what we got as an appetizer before we got hibachi- I got the white tuna and avocado roll and she got the spicy tuna roll. I ordered the shrimp hibachi.
I honestly couldn’t tell you what the other sushi pictures were because they were taken previously and I don’t remember what they were called, but they’re pretty, so I’m including the pics in the review ????.
Overall this is one of my favorite sushi places because
1) the Rangoons are bomb
2) the sushi is fire ????
3) the prices aren’t crazy expensive, especially compared to other hibachi places in GR
4) the service is always good and the servers are always nice and attentive.
I’ll be back soon, I’m sure! ???? ????
Great hibachi place for the family to go to. Their fried rice is always good, and the appetizers are fair. The sushi they make has always been well made and tastes awesome and a big plus in plating. Their presentation with the sushi boats are always a cool thing to see.
The service has always been great and the wait is usually less than 10 minutes.
I used to travel to Holland for work and stayed in the Hampton Inn behind this restaurant for 4 nights a week from 2010 to 2016 and I ate here at least once a week. My favorite was the Hibachi shrimp, so when I was in Holland over the weekend, I had to stop in try it to see if it was still good. I’m glad we stopped in because it was just as good as before. Everything we had was excellent. I recommend this place for hibachi and sushi. The staff are also very friendly. Our server Ulani had a great attitude and was very nice. I don’t have a single complaint about this place and I’ll be back again the next time I’m in town. The total for lunch before tip was $27 and that was enough for two people.
I stick with just the sushi and rice when I order from here. It is always good. We really like the Alaskan Roll or white tuna roll.
We usually order for pickup, seems to be a great system they have.
The arrangement of the seating is odd and feels out of place and really random if you go in to sit down. It is not the most comfortable environment when it comes to relaxed and separate from other patrons.
This was a awesome experience for sure! I used my Google assistant to booked the reservation and that went smoothly we got in there right on time was seated right away. The food was cooked to perfection, the chef had a great communication aand skills, and our waitress was so nice!!!!
The food was plentiful & delicious. I ordered the shrimp hibachi dinner. There was enough food for 3 lunch size portions.
This was a very interesting mimicry of Asian food. The server + manager was extremely nice as I got my order wrong but he still charged me the original lower price of what I ordered rather than what I got. Salmon was good. Teriyaki chicken was bland because it’s just steamed chicken breast with sauce drizzled on top. Beef was okay? Average. Fried rice was also very mid. The “miso soup” is not made using miso, that’s for sure, you can rename it “Singapore hawker soup” for all that matters. Salad was ok, not very presentable.
