Best WLM Reviews

I ordered the potato pancakes as per usual, they were amazing. Will continue to return for this tasty appetizer. This is the whole reason I come. The other food is great but if you can get your hands on some of these potato pancakes with applesauce, you’re in for a treat.
Enjoyed a wonderful lunch. Had their amazing pretzel with stone ground mustard and beer cheese. We also had bratwurst with German potato salad and their turkey club on rye marble bread with potato salad. For dessert we had the Apple Strudel with ice cream! Our waiter Bill was amazing! We can’t wait to go back again!
We were there in October during fall break. Ate dinner and liked the German food options. Granddaughters ordered the club sandwich and was delivered differently than described in menu. Definitely not worth the price. Children meal is overpriced. German meal reasonable price and tasted good. Restaurant is near a hotel. Check hours. We can say we tried it. Some things were reasonably priced other things overpriced.
This is a terrific German restaurant. We had the potato pancake appetizer and the sausage sampler appetizer. This was enough food to fill four hungry people or six with a regular appetite. Pancakes were really good. We had three large links of sausage, sauerkraut, red cabbage, and rye bread on the sampler platter. Everything tasted great. Great service and attentive staff also.
Wild Bear Tavern is such a cool spot with that real German feel! The decor and vibe make you feel like you’re in a little tavern in Europe. They’ve got a solid beer selection, and it’s honestly as good as the stuff I’ve had over there. The menu’s got lots of choices, but I gotta say, I’ve been here a few times now, and every time I’m hoping to try the pork shank, it’s out of stock. Bit of a bummer since that’s what I really wanted to try! The other dishes are pretty good, but nothing that’s really ‘wow.’
Service, though? Spot on. Our waiter was super polite and knew his stuff inside and out – like he’s been running the place forever. Overall, it’s a great spot if you’re in the mood for some good German vibes and tasty beer. Just fingers crossed they’ll have the pork shank next time!
The food was hit and miss! I ordered goulash (which is not technically on the menu yet) and it was absolutely DELICIOUS. The meat was very tender, savory, and fell apart on my mouth and the sauce was great. It comes with mushrooms in it. The cheesy spätzle was good but not seasoned or salted. The broccoli didn't seem like it was worth the $2 uncharge. The rotkohl was sweet, not salty like it should be, and it tasted like it was from a jar. The oma pancakes were a little too thick, lukewarm, and should've been crispy. They should be served with an apple jam not literal apple sauce that felt adolescent in presentation. The schnitzel was absolutely amazing. So we had some truly amazing options and some ehh options mixed in. Our waitress didn't know the menu at all. We said the german names authentically and she didn't know what we were talking about and when we ordered our food and drinks she said she didn't know the menu or anything and got confused about what we ordered. The atmosphere was great and relaxing while also energetic!
We were pleasantly surprised by how absolutely delicious our meal was. We were a bit concerned by the limited menu (relatively small). However, everything we had was packed full of flavor.
Definitely give them a taste.
The food was amazing. My parents had the potato pancake appetizer, and I had the hungry bear breakfast. All of the food was delicious and we plan to return next time we are in town.
