This is my first( and last) time eating here. I’m actually surprised about this one, because I usually have no complaints. And I was hopeful about it. But this is a no for me. I’m being lenient with 2 stars, but it’s a hot dog so you can’t really mess it up. The price for this was definitely NOT worth it. I love a good chilli cheese dog. But I will not be back here for one.
World famous wienerschnitzel. I was excited to check this place out since there are none near my hometown. I thought the food wasn’t very good. The service was okay but it took a while to get my order in. I do love the atmosphere though. The triangle building and a walk up window is awesome.
The $3 deal on each specific day is solid. My favorite menu item was the strawberry milkshake but I don’t think the chili dog or chili burger was good.
This store is difficult to get and out of if you are headed west toward the beach. But I was eventually able to make the left hand turn off of Garnet. It is a cool old school store with the A frame building that you get to drive through to get the food.
The food was good and as expected. I got chili dogs and corn dogs and both were made fresh. So good!
The service was very friendly. When we arrived the drive-thru was busy, the workers were moving as fast as possible. When they gave us the order they were kind enough to apologize for the wait, but it was entirely due to the demand. The food was fresh and taste great. I’ve had issues at other Wienerschnitzels with the buns being stale, but not at this location.
Good quality and good prices. Bratwurst and corn dogs are very good. Chili dogs are ok. The chili should have more meat as opposed to being mainly sauce, but the taste was good. Update: Got corn dogs today. As usual they were very good. The drive through line moved very fast and the employees were friendly.
Yes, I know prices for fast food have skyrocketed in CA, the people running this location are straight up gouging people. $17 for a small #1 combo? This is an absolute joke. I was at the Santee location not too long ago, the same combo was about $14. The food quality was poor and the service was very slow. If you want Weinerschnitzel, do yourself and your wallet a favor and go to a different location.
Went here everyday for lunch when I was at Mission Bay High School in the early nineties. The Weinermobile was even parked at my school. So when I saw this hat when I was there yesterday in the drive thru, I just couldn't resist. I love it! They are $10 (while supplies last)
I do miss the thousand island fries with grilled onions. Mmmmmm....those were good.
They made me drive 20 minutes just to say they close at 11:30. Which I don’t think it’s true, just lazy employees trying to get home earlier. I’m a server myself, that’s why the place looks like trash, no wonder…
