Great beer and cool atmosphere. Good service. Love this place, but this time the food was just mid. I’ve been here so many times that I would typically give Wicked Weed 5 ⭐️. The burger was just ok, kinda dry. Good, creamy Mac n cheese. Fried chicken sandwich was great but too much oil. The homemade chips with ranch were very good though. Definitely recommend going if you’re in Asheville!
We were a group of 7 adults and 3 kids dinned here on 4th of July busy time.
Ordered few beers which were great. But the food was not the best and it was just okay.
We have ordered Nachos, Black Bean Burgers, Chicken Burger, Boiled Peanuts, Chicken Wings, Kale Salad and Few other side items.
Chicken burger was quite spicy and my friend could not finish it which he usually eats quite spicy food.
Overall drinks and ambiance were good but food could have been better. Service was decent.
We went around 7 PM on a weekday in June. We were seated right away. Our server was friendly and our food came quickly. They do have a few vegetaian options for food. They also have a large beer/alcohol list available.
I do have to say that Wicked Weed is one of my favorite brewing companies, so going in, I kinda knew that I was gonna enjoy visiting. Whether it had good or bad cuisine, it would all be washed down with something delectable. Fortunately, the fare was incredible! A one page single sided menu is a restaurant I'm interested in! This means they put thought and care into what makes it and what doesn't. Everything does appear to rotate as well, and the brews are no exception. We loved seeing some beers that aren't part of their mainline bread & butter (so to speak) and ended up grabbing a couple growlers of them for the road (not literally on the road). The food was incredible though, we got the Beef Tartaré, which was outstanding, the Gryo Burger (a special at the time), the Fish N' Chips and the Brewpub Burger. Everything was cooked spot on (well, everything that was supposed to be cooked) and tasted amazing. We had an incredible experience and my only compliant would be that this restaurant is too far from my house.
A great bar in the brewery district of Asheville.
The beers can be a bit sour so we recommend to confirm with the barman this point as he will insist at the beginning, and you should listen ????
It is a dog friendly place which is really nice.
Inside there is a small shop where you can buy their beers or goodies.
We visited this weekend—a great spot in Asheville! My Bavarian Platter was delish (and we added a side of German potato salad, which was also very good) and had the flight of beers that included a tasty Peach Habanero Saison. Our server, Mickey, took great care of us and was super nice to our kids. Service was quick & incredibly friendly. Highly recommend Wicked Weed if you’re in town!
As an avid Wicked Weed beer consumer, I was super excited to visit the brewery while visiting Asheville for a concert. Unfortunately the visit fell short of my expectations. Came in on the day of review and had a one beer and lunch. The initial bartender was pretty cool and attentive, but left for the day, and the 3-4 behind the bar seemed more concerned with being on their phone than attending to my empty glass. Cashed out and went downstairs and got the same lack of attention. I'm almost always a good tipper, but the $3.25 tip reflected the same number of stars for this review. Food and beer were amazing, but customer service will likely ensure I visit another brewery in the future, and might even change my choice of beer.
My husband and I, along with our three dogs, enjoyed our time at The Funkatorium on July 3rd. We came to pick up our race packets for the Independence Day 5K and ended up staying for a few drinks and the AMAZING fries!
