Came here due to the reviews and pleasantly surprised. Got the hog combo plate with brisket and sausage. The ribs and brisket were a little dry but had great flavor. The jalapeño sausage was really good. The sides were Mac n cheese and beans which were really good. Overall I would definitely come back.
When we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with mac and cheese and coleslaw. My friend ordered ribs with mac and a salad. My pulled pork had some burned ends that really added that smoky flavor. The restaurant had 6 different bbq sauces to choose feom and i went with the spicy and tangy. That sandwich was delicious and the sides were good too. The only thing was that the ribs were a little cold. It took us longer to order than to get our food so not sure if the food was warmed enough. Regardless it was really flavorful. In my humble opinion the only thing that i saw was that the restaurant seemed a little outdated and had many trophies on the walls that seemed overwhelming. I think it needs a little makeover. It also felt a little too quiet and it could’ve been cause it was a Wednesday afternoon or they need some tvs or music in there to lively it up. Regardless the food was good and I recommend you to taste it for yourself to form your own opinion.
The food was good. The meat all had a great flavor. The collards however were soft and a little soggy. I wouldn't order them again. There was a great BBQ sauce selection. It was a good meal during my long drive. I just wish the portions were a little smaller so I could have tried more items on the menu! Thanks!
Ms. Pam greeted us as soon as we walked in. Hubby and I got a loaded bake potato with pork. They had six different BBQ sauces. Yes, we tried them all. It would have been too hard to pick a favorite. Pork was very tender. Potato was cooked to perfection!! Staff checked on us in the dining room. Great service and food!!
Needed a good meal prepared for 4 people. I purchased the ultimate platter with a a la carta 4 bone rib. My company was very pleased. Thanks so much Whole Hog for completing our day with the meal.
We're from Texas and wanted to try out bbq from Arkansas to see how good it is. It was really good! The ribs and meat were very tender. I like that they have 6 different flavors of sauces for the meat. The sides were alot. I was expecting the side to be in a small cup but it was a decent size. Overall, it's a good bbq place.
I had the loaded baked potato with pulled pork. The food was really good and the service was fast and courteous. I would definitely recommend trying the burnt ends and the pulled pork. Same great food and service as always.
Excellent BBQ. Best potato salad anywhere, counter help friendly (don't forget to feed the tip jar!), A favorite restaurant since they opened. However, a word of caution.... If you take out or have delivered bulk BBQ (1 lb.) they started using a smaller container than in the past that won't hold a pound of meat. The last 4 I bought were 3/4 lb. (12 oz.) each, but they were full. Many customers won't notice, but they felt light to me so I got a scale out. Took photos but unsure if I can post them.
