Best WLM Reviews

Where to start? My entire experience here was amazing. This place even smells heavenly. The restaurant is clean and roomy, ordering your food is quick and easy. The staff is organized, efficient, and friendly, and the food. Well, it is simply delicious . We got the whole hog platter and easily shared it between the two of us. The pulled pork is moist and delicious, as is the brisket. We added a smoked sausage and that was fantastic, too. My husband loved the ribs and all sides were on point. Beer avails well as tea and fountain drinks. Can’t wait to go back!!!
My best bud and I met owner Charlie yesterday when we happened to have mutual friends in the same suite at the Cards game last night. Happenchance given that I mentioned trying Whole Hog for the first time yesterday afternoon. Charlie invited us over for lunch. Whole hog plate and burnt ends.
Meat is on point - ribs and burnt ends my fave. Outstanding sauce selection. ask for the volcano of you like good burn. Potato salad is best I ever had. Cheesy corn rivaled KC Jack Stack, maybe better.
Amazing place, clean, quick service, friendly, and our new friend Charlie is salt of the earth - proud to know you!
Great BBQ and friendly people!! We had the pulled pork BBQ salad. It was fabulous!! The greens were fresh and a great mix. The cherry tomatoes were sweet. The pulled pork was piled on the salad. The two meat plate with brisket and chicken was also good.
Update-
My friend and I went back, still at 4 stars. The burnt end portions were much better. We had the burnt ends cheesy corn... phenomenal!!!
Also had the smoked sausage- excellent! Best smoked sausage we have had in a long time!! So good!
Only a couple of negatives.
They had a sign at the entrance stating ham as a special. I ordered it and they were out of ham... why is the sign still out?
Then I ordered burnt ends- I got the last of them. It's early on a Friday??? You're out of ham and burnt ends?
The rest was great! I highly recommend!
Original review-
I had a nice dinner at Whole Hog Cafe. I had the two meat platter w/ burnt ends, ham, Cheesy Corn, and baked beans.
My friend had two meats w/ burnt ends, pulled pork, Cheesy Corn and coleslaw.
No complaints on the food taste, that Cheesy Corn is worth fighting over! Everything tasted great. The portion sizes of the sides were fine. The meat portions were disappointing. They were so small. The burnt ends were just four small bites. (See pics) The ham was about the same. If I'm ordering the two meat platter I kind of expect a decent amount of meat. Both my friend and I were disappointed.
The sauce choices are great, we both liked the #5 the best.
The place was very clean and the cashier was friendly.
The brisket was awful. Looked like it was machine cut roast beef. Straight up hospital food made for old people with false teeth.
Delivery Half Chicken plate. Chicken was moist, tasty. Nice quantity. Baked home fries were much better than expected. Green beans were very tasty. Sauce (2) was OK, I probably would not select that variety again.
The smoky meat is good, but not 4 or 5 stars. The pulled pork wasn't pulled hardly at all I had to shred my own with knife and fork. Sandwich was listed as having coleslaw on it. That was so scant that I couldn't even taste it. I bought an order of coleslaw which was a generous portion and tasty. Other people who were with me did not seem to have any complaints. Service is ordering at the counter and waiting for your number to be called. It was pretty quick
Huge place with plenty of seating,,easy to read menu with daily specials ???? I had the beef brisket and pulled pork dinner,,hubby had the burnt end dinner. Meat was tender and tasted really good ???? Sides were pretty good as well! Definitely will be back????
