Went there for lunch with my wife. I had ribs with sides and my wife pulled pork. Service was from the counter—very quick and friendly. Both dishes were definitely good barbecue but both seemed to miss some internal tenderness and didn’t quite hit what I would consider great barbecue. (Now I may be biased or picky as I have a smoker at home). Overall a nice lunch at a reasonable price close to where we live and we will likely come back in the future.
Whole Hog is a gem! The food was delicious, with rich flavors and generous portions. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome. The location was spotless, adding to the great dining experience. Highly recommend for a satisfying meal!
Really good brisket sandwich! You place your order and pay first no server , food came really fast as well . I actually had a customer at my work recommend this place . It was really affordable although brisket is their cheapest cut of meat , the smell from outside is amazing too.
Got a hankering for some great BBQ? Then get yourself over to the Whole Hog Cafe. Family style dining in and take out. The best pulled pork in town!
I love their pulled pork but they offer brisket, chicken and sausage. Their sides are also impressive, my favorites are their baked beans and coleslaw.
One unique aspect of the Whole Hog Cafe is their variety of BBQ sauces. Their meat is served naked, you get to select the sauce you want. At each table, there are six different serving bottles of really excellent sauces. You will find your favorite.
They do sell beer, which also goes well with the BBQ. They usually have a few home style desserts. The chocolate sheet cake is exceptionally good.
Lastly, the dining area is fun and the service is very friendly. A great BBQ diner in the heights!
This place is a wonderful gem here in ABQ and SF! This is a must try place if you ever in town! The service is outstanding from everyone working at the restaurant! The person who stood out the most to us was Araceli since she went above and beyond the call of duty. She made my father with dementia feel welcome and even spoke Spanish for him and open the door for him since he uses a walker! You can tell that the chefs cook with their heart to produce such a delicious meal! The place is clean and plenty of space is available! This is an excellent place for catering and taking meals to your coworkers!
Pulled pork a little dry. Beef brisket moist and tender. The sandwiches have a generous portion of meat. #5 sweet heavy molasses accents the sandwich the best. The person at the register was helpful in making the selection.
Went for a birthday dinner. Clean! Great seating for all of us. Everyone's food was as ordered and tasted great!
The only cashier/waitress was excellent, polite and very helpful, a outstanding job.
Brisket and cucumber salad were our favorites!

We seen a quite a few comments on customer service that almost kept us from coming. Glad we did. Customer service was great order taker was friendly and accommodating.
Food was good, nothing to knock your socks off, but it was good.
The meat needs some smoke flavor.
I love the different sauce options too.
